Many of you know him for a long time. @ybanezkim26 has been part of this project even before Worldmappin. He is a beloved and important member of our curation team and is currently in a very difficult situation.
What happened?
Two days ago we got the message, that Kim is currently at the hospital in the Philippines, as his sister was taken there with kidney nephritis.
She is currently at the intensive care unit as her heart has been damaged due to the excess water, so she's being monitored for that.
The insurance cover has already been fully used, so from now on it's all private costs. This is the invoice for only two days, so you have proof of verity and an idea of the costs that will come for Kim and his family... in Dollars the bill currently running is already at $4500.
As head of the family, he is currently responsible for everything going on with his sister. As the "expert" there, he is taking care of everything, like processing her papers, choosing her specialists, talking to a lot of people, about her insurance, her company, everything. So you can imagine that he is pretty stressed and does not leave her side, basically camping at the hospital.
At the same time, he still wants to do some curation to distract himself in between the hours to not let down the community.
Right now he is waiting for her to be transferred to the normal ward, but still waiting for clearance from her cardiologist and pulmonologist. So far, her heart is stable but slow to pump blood. She has a lung infection so also waiting for her pulmonologist. And they'll wait for another 5 to 7 days for her kidney biopsy to determine the real cause of her nephritis.
When we, @lizanomadsoul and @detlev heard about his situation it was 100% clear for us to give him a hand right away. We used part of the funds our curation team and the account generated by all the great work this team is doing - to help a friend in need.

Muchos de ustedes lo conocen desde hace mucho tiempo. @ybanezkim26 ha formado parte de este proyecto incluso antes de Worldmappin. Es un miembro muy querido e importante de nuestro equipo de curación y actualmente se encuentra en una situación muy difícil.
¿Qué ha pasado?
Hace dos días recibimos el mensaje de que Kim se encuentra actualmente en el hospital en Filipinas, ya que su hermana fue llevada allí con nefritis renal.
Está en la unidad de cuidados intensivos porque el exceso de agua ha afectado a su corazón, así que la están monitorizando.
La cobertura del seguro ya se ha utilizado en su totalidad, así que a partir de ahora todo son gastos privados. Esta es la factura de sólo dos días, para que tengáis una prueba de veracidad y una idea de los costes que supondrá para Kim y su familia... en dólares la factura actual ya asciende a 4500 dólares.
Como cabeza de familia, actualmente es el responsable de todo lo relacionado con su hermana. Como «experto» que es, se ocupa de todo, como tramitar sus papeles, elegir a sus especialistas, hablar con un montón de gente, sobre su seguro, su compañía, todo. Así que puedes imaginarte que está bastante estresado y no se separa de ella, básicamente acampando en el hospital.
Al mismo tiempo, sigue queriendo hacer algo de curación para distraerse entre horas y no defraudar a la comunidad.
Ahora mismo está esperando a que la trasladen a una sala ordinaria, pero sigue esperando el visto bueno de su cardiólogo y neumólogo. De momento, su corazón está estable, pero bombea sangre con lentitud. Tiene una infección pulmonar, así que también está esperando por su neumólogo. Y esperarán otros 5 a 7 días para su biopsia renal para determinar la causa real de su nefritis.
Cuando nosotros, @lizanomadsoul y @detlev nos enteramos de su situación tuvimos 100% claro que debíamos echarle una mano de inmediato. Utilizamos parte de los fondos de nuestro equipo de curación y lo generado por la cuenta, gracias al gran trabajo que está haciendo este equipo, para ayudar a un amigo necesitado.
Qué puedes hacer tú
Hive ha demostrado muchas veces que somos una comunidad fuerte que se ayuda mutuamente, sobre todo cuando se trata de situaciones difíciles como esta, así que hemos decidido apoyarle como equipo y también pedir ayuda a la comunidad.
