Happy start to the weekend, everyone! Today I want to share with you my last vacation experience on the Venezuelan coast. It was my last trip with my wife to the town of Naiguatá, where we were staying. Of course, talking about Naiguatá inevitably means talking about beaches, since the area lies between the imposing El Ávila mountain and the Caribbean Sea. The eight beaches I visited during those days are still just a small sample of everything the area has to offer.

¡Feliz inicio del fin de semana para todos!. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes lo que fue mi última experiencia vacacional en el litoral venezolano. Se trata de un último paseo que di junto a mi esposa en el pueblo de Naiguatá donde nos estábamos alojados; claro que hablar de Naiguatá es hablar inevitablemente de playas, ya que la zona queda entre el imponente cerro de El Ávila y el Mar Caribe, y las ocho playas que conocí esos días siguen siendo una pequeña muestra de todo lo que hay en la zona.

On this exploratory walk, I came across many buildings, some very elegant and others practically abandoned. It's a tourist area, but things aren't doing very well economically around here, so we always see places that aren't being fully utilized. These buildings are residential, and absolutely everything is just a few minutes from the beach. In the Camurí Grande area, you can find a branch of Simón Bolívar University, which surprised me because Naiguatá is really far from Caracas.

En este paseo exploratorio me encontré con muchos edificios, algunos muy elegantes y otros prácticamente abandonados. Es una zona turística, pero económicamente las cosas no andan muy bien por estos lados, así que siempre vemos lugares a los que no se les saca todo el provecho. Esos edificios son residenciales, y absolutamente todo está a pocos minutos de la playa. En la zona de Camurí Grande se puede encontrar una sede de la Universidad Simón Bolívar, lo cual me sorprendió porque Naiguatá es realmente lejos si viajamos desde Caracas.

If you're not careful, you're bound to stumble upon a beach 😅 Naiguatá and Camurí Grande are crossed by the Naiguatá-Los Caracas Highway, and if you enter any street or corridor that goes north, you'll inevitably come out onto one of its beaches. In many areas, the ground is only sand and stones, and you'll occasionally come across a river. Even though it's far away, you can see that people live very peacefully in this small town in the state of La Guaira, and for us tourists, nothing is missing. In fact, there are plenty of places to stay, and at very good prices.

Si te descuidas mucho, lo más seguro es que te tropieces con una playa 😅 Naiguatá y Camurí Grande están atravesadas por la Carretera Naiguatá - Los Caracas, y si entras en alguna calle o pasillo que vaya hacia el norte inevitablemente saldrás hacia alguna de sus playas. En muchas zonas el suelo es solo arena y piedras, y eventualmente te encuentras algún río. Aunque sea lejano, se ve que la gente vive muy tranquila en este pequeño pueblo del Estado La Guaira y para nosotros los turistas no hace falta nada, de hecho sobran los lugares para hospedarse y con muy buenos precios.

It was inevitable that this post wouldn't end with beachscapes. Although I've shared some photos of the town in my previous posts, the area's beaches truly stand out, and I believe that's the reason why people live and visit Naiguatá. This was the last day of my trip, and I took it upon myself to walk from Playa de Dios in Naiguatá to Playa Bonita, at the end of Camurí Grande. Many beaches may have different names, but it's the same ocean. For some reason, waves are stronger in some areas, but its beauty and the colors of the sea remain intact in each one.

Era inevitable que este post no terminara con paisajes playeros, más allá de que ya he compartido algunas fotos del pueblo en mis publicaciones anteriores, en la zona realmente resaltan son las playas, y creo que es el motivo por el cual la gente vive y visita Naiguatá. Este fue el último día de mi viaje, y me encargué de caminar desde Playa de Dios en Naiguatá, hasta Playa Bonita, al final de Camurí Grande. Puede que muchas playas tengan nombres distintos, pero es el mismo mar, que por alguna razón tiene oleaje más fuerte en algunas zonas, pero su belleza y los colores del mar se mantienen intactos en cada una de ellas.

One of the biggest attractions of this area, and undoubtedly what gives it a distinctive touch compared to other beaches I've visited in Venezuela, is the number of loose rocks in the sea, many of them scattered across the beaches. It may be a bit annoying to get into the water, but they look amazing and impressive. This area is so remote that it wasn't affected by the Vargas tragedy of December 1999, so the presence of the rocks must have another origin, unlike nearby beaches like Macuto. So, with these landscapes of rocks and breakwaters, I say goodbye, hoping you enjoyed my post. I hope to travel soon to continue sharing new adventures on Worldmappin. Uno de los mayores atractivos de esta zona y sin duda lo que le da un toque distintivo a otras playas que he visitado en Venezuela es la cantidad de rocas sueltas en el mar, muchas de ellas atravesadas en medio de las playas. Puede que sea algo molesto para meterse al agua, pero lucen geniales e imponentes. Esta zona es tan lejana que no fue afectada por la tragedia de Vargas de Diciembre de 1999, así que la presencia de las rocas debe tener otro origen, a diferencia de playas cercanas como Macuto; así que con estos paisajes de rocas y rompeolas me despido esperando que les haya gustado mi publicación. Espero viajar pronto para seguir compartiendo nuevas aventuras en Worldmappin. Un gran abrazo para todos los que leen hasta aquí 🙏

¡Hoy es Jueves de #TBT! Y al mismo tiempo ha llegado el mes de Octubre, estamos a pocos días de que el Vaticano declare oficialmente los primeros santos venezolanos, el Doctor José Gregorio Hernández y la Hermana Carmen Rendiles. Quizás para muchos este evento no sea tan importante, cada día hay más personas que no comulgan con la fe católica, pero la verdad es que la mayoría de la gente de mi entorno, todas las iglesias en mi ciudad, mi trabajo y hasta yo mismo tenemos expectativas muy altas para lo que ocurrirá en Roma el próximo 19 de Octubre.

Hace unos años, en el 2020 para ser exactos, en medio de la pandemia por Covid 19 y cuando todavía estaba muy delgado porque me recuperaba de mi colecistectomía fui invitado a participar en un quinteto vocal y orquesta virtual, para grabar una serie de canciones, las cuales compartí en Hive en su momento, pero hubo un video que nunca compartí aquí porque estaba esperando un momento especial, y creo que no hay momento más especial que este. Esta canción se llama "Doctor José Gregorio, Hombre de Dios", y se estrenó en 2021 en Youtube con el nombre de Venezuela Virtual Chamber Orchestra, dirigida por el Maestro Enluis Montes.

Los créditos de este video son del Director Eugenio Carreño Jr. y el solista que interpreta las estrofas se llama Hernán De Béky. El motivo de esa grabación era principalmente proyectar esta canción al mundo, aunque se hizo más música, y si no la han visto aún, pues ha llegado la oportunidad de que la disfruten aquí en mi blog. Solo fui un barítono cantando en el coro, pero recuerdo la emoción que sentí cuando me invitaron a ser parte del proyecto, especialmente por estar en medio de la pandemia y que las emociones fuera de casa eran escasas esos días. Espero que les guste tanto como a mí, y si también están esperando la canonización de José Gregorio entonces ya conocen una canción más para celebrar el histórico momento. Today is #TBT Thursday! And at the same time, October has arrived. We're just a few days away from the Vatican officially declaring the first Venezuelan saints: Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Sister Carmen Rendiles. Perhaps for many, this event isn't that important; every day there are more and more people who don't share the Catholic faith, but the truth is that most of the people around me, all the churches in my city, my work, and even myself have very high expectations for what will happen in Rome on October 19th.

A few years ago, in 2020 to be exact, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and when I was still very thin because I was recovering from my cholecystectomy, I was invited to participate in a vocal quintet and virtual orchestra to record a series of songs. I shared them on Hive at the time. However, there was a video that I never shared here because I was waiting for a special moment, and I believe there's no moment more special than this. This song is called "Doctor José Gregorio, Man of God," and it premiered on YouTube in 2021 under the name Venezuela Virtual Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Enluis Montes.

The credits for this video go to Conductor Eugenio Carreño Jr., and the soloist performing the verses is Hernán De Béky. The reason for this recording was primarily to project this song to the world, although more music was made, and if you haven't seen it yet, the opportunity has come for you to enjoy it here on my blog. I was only a baritone singing in the choir, but I remember the excitement I felt when they invited me to be part of the project, especially given the pandemic and the lack of excitement outside the home during those days. I hope you like it as much as I do, and if you're also waiting for José Gregorio's canonization, then you already know another song to celebrate this historic moment. Thank you for your support. Happy Wednesday everyone! A few days ago, I shared on Worldmappin the landscapes of a very special family trip to Ávila Mágica in northern Caracas. Today, as a continuation, I want to share a little bit of what this hike was like on that path high in the mountains, where you can see the city of Caracas to the south and the Caribbean Sea to the north. I've visited this place a few times, but none were as special as this one, where I was accompanied by my wife, my mother, my brother, and surely also my father, even if only in our hearts 🙏

¡Feliz Miércoles para todos!. Hace unos días compartí en Worldmappin los paisajes de un viaje familiar muy especial en Ávila Mágica en el norte de Caracas, y hoy como continuación quiero compartir un poco de lo que fue esta caminata en ese camino en lo alto de la cordillera, donde se aprecia la ciudad de Caracas hacia el sur y el mar caribe hacia el norte. He visitado este lugar pocas veces, pero ninguna fue tan especial como esta, donde me acompañó mi esposa, mi mamá, mi hermano y seguramente también mi papá, aunque sea dentro de nuestros corazones 🙏

First I need to make a parenthesis in this story and warn you that you will see my hair in an ultra natural 4k state, since we had been at the beach for several days and there was no way to comb it 😅 Now yes, this hike started with a bit of a cheat, since to get to the top we went up very comfortably in the cable car. I brought my mom to this wonderful place in the heights last December and she fell in love with it, but now it was my brother's turn since he had never had the opportunity to go up, and that made me very happy because his job is much more arduous than mine and I wanted him to have a pleasant experience on his trip.

Primero necesito hacer un paréntesis en esta historia y advertir que mi cabello lo verán en estado ultra natural 4k, ya que veníamos de varios días en la playa y no había manera de peinarlo 😅 Ahora sí, esta caminata inicio con algo de trampa, ya que para llegar a la cima subimos muy cómodos en el teleférico.  A mí mamá la traje a este maravilloso lugar en las alturas el pasado Diciembre y quedó enamorada del mismo, pero ahora el turno era de mi hermano que nunca había tenido la oportunidad de subir, y eso me hizo muy feliz porque su trabajo es mucho más arduo que el mío y yo deseaba que tuviera una experiencia agradable en su viaje.

What the four of us loved most that afternoon was the weather. It was August, one of the warmest months of the year, and even so, up high, the breeze, the fog, and the cold made for a somewhat wintry experience (but without the snow). My brother fell in love with the weather here and was the only one who didn't bundle up. We kept sipping hot chocolate throughout our hike and enjoying the scenery. As I mentioned in my previous post, that day the clouds were settling in on the horizon, overlooking the sea that could be seen to the north. Night fell as we hiked, reached the Hotel Humboldt, and then started heading back toward the cable car, ending our vacation on a high note, preserving fond family memories for posterity, just like these photographs.

Lo que más amamos los cuatro esa tarde fue el clima. Estábamos en Agosto, uno de los meses más calientes del año, y aún así en las alturas la brisa, la neblina y el frío nos hicieron vivir una experiencia un poco invernal (pero sin nieve) 😅 mi hermano quedó enamorado del clima de este lugar y fue el único que no se abrigó. Nos mantuvimos tomando chocolate caliente durante nuestra caminata y disfrutando del paisaje. Como dije en mi post anterior, ese día las nubes se recostaban sobre el horizonte en el mar que se podía apreciar al norte. Nos agarró la noche caminando, llegamos hasta el Hotel Humbolt y luego nos comenzamos a regresar hacia el teleférico, para concluir nuestras vacaciones por todo lo alto y conservando gratos recuerdos familiares para la posteridad, tal como estas fotografías 🙏

Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday! A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all the participants recommend music to each other. Mariah Carey's new album came out a few days ago. Yes, I'll be talking about Mariah again on Three Tune Tuesday. I think I've always been a fan, but having her in my life every Christmas has brought me closer to her. The following are the three songs that impressed me the most, despite my voice being huskier than the '90s diva.

Play This Song is the second official single, and the album came out with this music video, which is the second cut that music video lovers like me are familiar with. It's the typical R&B to which she's accustomed us, slow, with striking lyrics, a repetitive chorus, but which is very popular since it's her label. The novelty here is collaborating with this man Anderson .Paak, about whom I learned a little and I loved his musical proposal, full of Soul influence. Thanks to Mariah, I've always been introduced to artists from musical genres that I don't usually listen to, like rap, and it helps boost their careers.

I'm now sharing this lyric video for my second recommendation today. The song is called Sugar Sweet and has a sound closer to pop than the previous one, but still very fresh. It features two girls I'd also never heard of before, Shenseea and Kehlani, and both have very special voices, possibly even sounding better than Mariah due to the youthfulness of their voices. The song is fun, though not earth-shattering, but it could easily work as a promotional single. Listening to the full album, it's likely none of them will become a huge commercial success. However, since they only released eleven songs, I feel like a new edition with new special tracks could be coming to boost sales.

It was very difficult for me to choose the third recommendation for today, since I wanted to highlight three songs, but in the end I decided on Jesus I Do, not because it has my name in the title of the song 😅 but to highlight its religious side with which we connect every December at Christmas, which in fact does not surprise me that it could be a promotional single for the holidays, also, it has a good rhythm, it is one of the most lively songs on the album and has The Clark Sisters accompanying him on the chorus. I consider that this project does not have a great impact ballad, like those that always surprised us in the 90's, and even so I would like you to listen to My Love, possibly the most notable ballad with a lot of pop and soul influence and the song that gives the album its title Here For It All, although in the end it stops being a ballad and becomes a more lively pop, in fact in the latter he tries to do his usual whistling voice, and I am surprised that he still does it, although it is not the same anymore.

>Me ha costado mucho elegir la tercera recomendación de hoy, ya que quería resaltar tres canciones, pero al final me decidí por Jesus I Do, no por llevar mi nombre en el título de la canción 😅 sino por resaltar su parte religiosa con la cual conectamos cada Diciembre en navidad, que de hecho no me extraña que pueda ser un sencillo promocional para las fiestas, además, tiene buen ritmo, es una de las canciones más movidas del álbum y tiene como invitadas a The Clark Sisters acompañándole en los coros. Considero que este proyecto no tiene una gran balada de impacto, como las que siempre nos sorprendían en la década de los 90's, y aún así me gustaría que escuchen My Love, posiblemente la balada más notable con mucha influencia pop y soul y la canción que le da título al álbum Here For It All, aunque al final deja de ser balada y se convierte en un pop más movido, de hecho en estas últimas trata de hacer su acostumbrada voz de silbido, y me sorprende que aún lo haga, aunque ya no es lo mismo.

As a bonus, I'm not leaving you with anything new, just the music video for the first promotional single that we saw three months ago. It definitely didn't have a great reception, but I feel like she didn't put in much effort to make a comeback. I think she's just trying to stay active and keep her fans happy; I accept it, I'm one of those 😅 No matter what Mariah Carey does next, she's already proven she's a great artist, and I like her voice, and as a musician, I understand that the years go by and the voice changes, so I'm a forever and safe fan of hers 🥰

Happy start to the week, everyone! It's been a while since I last visited Hive's Architecture and Design community, and this will always be a pleasant place for me, as I love the diverse interior design and large buildings in the cities I visit. Today I want to share a different post, as it's just about a small inn where I stayed the last week of August, located in the Camurí area of ​​La Guiara, Venezuela. This place is called La Piña, a cozy place located just a few minutes' walk from various beaches in this region.

¡Feliz inicio de semana para todos!. Tenía tiempo sin pasar por la comunidad de Arquitectura y Diseño de Hive, y este siempre será un lugar grato para mí, ya que amo el distinto diseño de interiores y de grandes edificaciones en las ciudades que visito. Hoy quiero compartir un post diferente, ya que solo se trata de una pequeña posada donde me alojé la última semana de Agosto, ubicada en la zona de Camurí, en el Estado La Guiara de Venezuela. Este lugar de hospedaje se llama La Piña, una acogedora que se encuentra a pocos minutos a pie de diferentes playas en esta región.

I don't have a photo of the exterior of this place, and it looks like a very ordinary house, nothing attractive. However, upon entering, you find a small reception area and immediately notice a small pool to the right and lots of apple green and mustard colors. With a palm tree in the central courtyard, you can tell the atmosphere is beachy, although I think the pool area is very small for a place that has more than 10 family-sized guest rooms. The good thing is that we were all on the beach, and in my case, I only focused on appreciating the courtyard and the warm pool.

No tengo una fotografía de la fachada de este lugar, y es que luce como una casa muy normal, nada atractiva, pero al entrar, te encuentras con una pequeña recepción e inmediatamente ves una pequeña piscina a la derecha y muchos colores verde manzana y mostaza. Con una palmera en el patio central se nota que el ambiente es playero, aunque me parece que la zona de la piscina es muy pequeña para un lugar que tiene más de 10 habitaciones de tamaño familiar para huéspedes. Lo bueno es que todos estábamos en la playa, y en mi caso solo me enfoqué en apreciar el patio y la cálida piscina.

More than just a room, we stayed in a full apartment, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms: one double where I stayed with my wife, and another with two beds where my mom and brother stayed. The apartment had a beautiful earth-colored floor and gray walls with a yellow stripe, quite cozy. There was no air conditioning in the living room, but the air conditioning in the bedrooms was so powerful that it reached every area of ​​the apartment.

Más que una habitación, nos hospedamos en un apartamento completo, con sala, cocina baños y dos habitaciones, una matrimonial donde me quedé con mi esposa y una con dos camas donde se quedó mi mamá y mi hermano. El apartamento tenía un hermoso piso color tierra y paredes grises con una franja amarilla, bastante acogedor. No tenía aire acondicionado en la sala, pero el de las habitaciones era tan potente que llegaba hasta todas las zonas del apartamento.

The apartment had a fun terrace overlooking the pool area, and we were located on the third floor. This terrace featured a comfortable sofa, a beanbag, and a hammock, perfect for family time. It was also covered to protect guests from the sun. The rooms were very large and comfortable, with extra-large closets and beds of various sizes—king, queen, and single, depending on the room. The rooms appeared dark thanks to the dark-colored blackout curtains and the large, wall-length closets painted black. This inn gave us the feeling of being in a hotel, and despite being a beach trip, this time I didn't see any insects anywhere in the apartment where we stayed.

El apartamento tenía una divertida terraza con vista hacia el área de la piscina y estábamos ubicados en el tercer piso. En esta terraza había un cómodo sofá, un puf y una hamaca, ideal para pasar el rato en familia, además de estar techado para proteger a los huéspedes del sol. Las habitaciones eran muy grandes y cómodas, con closets extra grandes, y camas de diversos tamaños, King, Queen e individual dependiendo de la habitación. Los cuartos lucen oscuros al contar con cortinas blackout de colores oscuros y por los grandes closets que se llevan toda una pared pintados de negro. Esta posada nos dio la sensación de estar en un hotel, y es que a pesar de ser un viaje a la playa, en esta ocasión no tuve que ver insectos en ninguna zona del apartamento donde nos hospedamos.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a few days on beautiful, remote beaches on the Venezuelan coast. [Pineapple Inn](https://www.instagram.com/posadalapina/) is located in Camurí, the first block from the main avenue, right next to the river. Its facade isn't impressive, but inside, it's the cozy vacation spot we're all looking for. Prices range from $25 for the smallest rooms to $45 for larger ones like the one I chose. En conclusión, recomiendo este lugar totalmente a las personas que quieran pasar unos días en playas hermosas y lejanas en el litoral de Venezuela. [La Posada La Piña](https://www.instagram.com/posadalapina/) está ubicada en Camurí, la primera cuadra desde la avenida principal, justo al lado del río. Su fachada no impresiona, pero por dentro es el lugar acogedor que todos buscamos para vacacionar. Los precios están desde 25$ para las habitaciones más pequeñas, hasta 45$ para habitaciones más grandes como el que elegí yo, y lo más importante, tiene Cashea entre sus métodos de pago, quienes vivimos en Venezuela saben lo que eso significa 😅 Gracias a todos por leer y apoyar mi publicación, les deseo una gran semana nueva 🙏

Today I want to share a new place on the world map, and it's the beautiful Parque del Este, located in Miranda State, but also part of the Capital District of Venezuela. This month marked a year since I last visited its facilities, but it was worth making this trip so the daughter of one of my great friends could experience this wonderful place. ¡Feliz fin de semana!. Envío un sincero abrazo para todos los viajeros de Hive. Hoy quiero compartir un nuevo lugar en el mapamundi, y se trata del hermoso Parque del Este, ubicado en el Estado Miranda, pero que a la vez forma parte del Distrito Capital de Venezuela. Precisamente este mes cumplí un año sin visitar sus instalaciones, pero valía la pena hacer este viaje para que la hija de uno de mis grandes amigos conociera este maravilloso lugar. Este fue un caluroso día de Septiembre, así que fuimos luego de la hora de almuerzo pensando que estaría más fresco 😅 No fue así, pero al ser un día soleado nos regaló momentos y paisajes de ensueño, como pueden observar en las siguientes fotografías.

Caracas's East Park has a lot to offer. It's located south of the Los Palos Grandes neighborhood, and from any point in it, you can see the imposing El Ávila Hill to the north, with clouds hovering above it. Entrance to this park is free; that day, we only paid $2 for parking, and scattered throughout various areas of the park are plenty of affordable places to eat. We took advantage of the opportunity to grab some burgers, since we hadn't eaten yet; it was the first thing we did, and then we started walking with the girl, who led us to the areas she wanted to see first; after all, it was the novelty for her 😍

El Parque del Este de Caracas tiene mucho que ofrecer. Está ubicado al sur de la zona de Los Palos Grandes, y desde cualquier punto del mismo se puede apreciar al norte el imponente Cerro El Ávila, con nubes recostadas sobre el. La entrada a este parque es gratis, ese día solo pagamos 2$ por el estacionamiento y en disperso en varias zonas del lugar hay muchos negocios para comer con precios económicos. Nosotros aprovechamos de comer unas hamburguesas, ya que no habíamos comido; fue lo primero que hicimos y luego comenzamos a caminar con la niña guiándonos hacia las zonas que ella quería ver primero, después de todo, la novedad era para ella  😍

There are many parks in the Capital District, but I've always said that Parque del Este is the best and most elegant. Officially, this place is now called Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda, and you can also get there by public transportation and the Caracas metro, specifically at the Miranda Station. There's a Xerophilous Garden here, which was the first thing we visited that day, but you can also see attractions like the small Carlos Guinand Lake or the Humboldt Planetarium. In the heart of the park is a small zoo, and to the east, a new children's playground called BrincaEste, which the girl made us go in 😅

Hay muchos parques en el Distrito Capital, pero siempre he dicho que el Parque del Este es el mejor y más elegante. Oficialmente ahora este lugar se llama Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda, y se puede llegar también en transporte público y en el metro de Caracas, específicamente en la Estación Miranda. Aquí hay un Jardín Xerófilo, que fue lo primero que visitamos ese día, pero también se puede apreciar atracciones como el pequeño lago Carlos Guinand o el Planetario Humbolt. En el corazón del mismo queda un pequeño zoológico y hacia el este una nueva atracción de juegos para niños llamada BrincaEste, donde obligatoriamente la niña nos hizo entrar 😅

The Boat Lake area is the most special for me. Unlike the previous lake, this one is very large and people can hop on a small boat, an experience I've never had the few times I've visited this place. This lake offers the best views and reflections of the imposing Ávila mountain in the water. There's also a replica of Francisco de Miranda's ship Leander, which serves as a museum, and I haven't visited it either. Perhaps next time I travel here, I'll venture inside. We had a great time that day, and the sunset caught us. It's a safe place, with lots of friendly people and plenty to explore. If you visit Caracas, you have to make this a must-see stop 🙏

La zona del Lago de los Botes es la más especial para mí. A diferencia del lago anterior, este si es muy grande y las personas se pueden subir a un pequeño bote, una experiencia que nunca he vivido las pocas veces que he visitado este lugar.  En este lago se ven las mejores vistas y reflejos de la imponente montaña El Ávila del norte en el agua, además, aquí hay una réplica del barco Leander de Francisco de Miranda, que funciona como museo y tampoco he visitado, quizás la próxima vez que viaje hasta aquí me atreva a entrar. Ese día estuvimos muy a gusto y nos agarró el atardecer. Un lugar seguro, con mucha gente amigable y con mucho para recorrer. Si visitas la ciudad de Caracas tienes que hacer esta parada obligatoria 🙏

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the weekend that's just begun. Today I want to write something different. I've saved several photographs I took of some birds during my eternal summer vacation. I don't know if I'm a bird lover; I think nothing beats my love for cats, but birds always appear at special moments and delight us with their beauty or boldness. In fact, just today during the rehearsal break, one of them pooped on my coffee, haha, and as my choirmates say: That's good luck! 😅

>¡Hola a todos!. Espero que se encuentren muy bien y que disfruten el fin de semana que ahora comienza para todos. Hoy quiero escribir algo distinto, y es que tengo guardada varias fotografías que tomé a algunas aves durante  mis vacaciones de verano eterno. No sé si soy un amante de las aves, creo que nada supera mi amor por los gatos, pero los pájaros siempre aparecen en momentos especiales y nos deleitan con su belleza o atrevimiento; de hecho, hoy mismo en el receso de los ensayos uno de ellos hizo popo sobre mi café hahaha, y como dicen mis compañeros del coro: Eso es buena suerte! 😅

This first bird I'm showing you above is a chacharaca. I found it in Ávila at the end of July. In fact, there were several of them, and they were literally walking among the people, but this guy decided to stand there and pose for everyone's cameras. I didn't get too close; it's very large, but others dared to take selfies with it, and nothing happened. I found these birds when I unsuccessfully tried to climb Naiguatá Peak, and the trail is truly full of them. Beyond this friend, these past few months I've learned how difficult it is to photograph birds...

Lo encontré en el Ávila a finales del mes de Julio, de hecho habían varios de ellos y literalmente caminaban entre la gente, pero este chico decidió pararse ahí y posar para las cámaras de todos los presentes. Yo no me acerqué mucho, es muy grande, pero otros se atrevieron a tomarse selfies con él y no pasó nada. Estos pájaros los encontré cuando intenté subir el pico Naiguatá sin éxito, y de verdad que el sendero está lleno de ellos. Más allá de este amigo, estos meses aprendí lo difícil que es fotografiar pájaros...

This friend above is a Benteveo, and I saw many like it off the coast of La Guaira State during the month of August. I think it gave me the best photo I have to share today, as it allowed me to get close and remained friendly high in the palm canopies. Photographing such small birds required a lot of zooming with the camera, plus they tend to move around a lot. So I truly admire all the photographers who have the patience to capture good bird moments, because it's not an easy task...

Creo que él me regaló la mejor foto que tengo para compartir hoy, ya que me permitió acercarme y se mantuvo amistoso en lo alto de los toldos de palmas. Para fotografiar aves tan pequeñas he tenido que hacer mucho zoon con la cámara, además de que ellas suelen moverse mucho, así que de verdad admiro a todos los fotógrafos que tienen la paciencia de capturar buenos momentos de aves, porque no es una tarea fácil...

Above, you can see a green jay. I found this bird near the Cruz del Ávila on my hiking trail on September 1st. It was difficult to photograph; I think these are the lower-quality photos due to the zoom, but I think it's the most beautiful bird you'll see in this post, and that's reflected in its vivid colors. It didn't approach me, but I remember being the only person sitting up there, resting and appreciating the beauty of Caracas, and it walked close to me, without any fear.

>Arriba pueden apreciar una chara verde. Este pájaro lo encontré cerca de la Cruz del Ávila en mi ruta de senderismo del primero de Septiembre. Me costó fotografiarlo, creo que estas son las fotos con menor calidad debido al zoom, pero creo que es el pájaro más hermoso que podrán apreciar en ese post, y eso lo hacen sus colores vivos. No se acercó a mí, pero recuerdo que yo era la única persona sentada allá arriba descansando y apreciando la belleza de la ciudad de Caracas, y el caminaba cerca de mí, sin ningún temor.

I'm almost certain that due to its size, black color, eyes, and tail feathers, this bird above is a crow 😅 since they are everywhere. That day I didn't want to get too close and I didn't look at the camera too much. I was sitting at another table under the palm trees facing the sea and I saw this guy searching through the crumbs of my Doritos, next to my empty beer bottle and my wife's glasses. They are quite daring, the whole trip to the beach they got into a lot of mischief among the crows and seagulls, but at least he gave me some very beautiful photos that I wanted to share with everyone specifically in this community, I hope you like them too... To say goodbye, I leave you with this unique photo of a hummingbird posing in front of the clouds on my last visit to Ávila Mágica, a dream place at the top of Caracas ❤️

>Estoy casi seguro que por su tamaño, color negro, ojos y plumas de la cola, esta ave de arriba es un cuervo 😅 ya que ellos están por todas partes. Ese día no me quise acercar mucho y tampoco hice mucho zoon a la cámara. Yo estaba sentado en otra mesa bajo las palmeras frente al mar y vi a este chico buscando entre las boronas de mis doritos, al lado de la botella vacía de mi cerveza y los lentes de mi esposa. Ellos son bastante atrevidos, todo el viaje a la playa hicieron muchas travesuras entre los cuervos y las gaviotas, pero al menos me regaló unas fotos muy bonitas que quería compartir con todos específicamente en esta comunidad, espero que a ustedes también les guste... Ya para despedirme, los dejo con esta única foto de un colibrí posando frente a las nubes en mi última visita a Ávila Mágica, un lugar de ensueño en la cima de Caracas  ❤️

Hello everyone, welcome to another #TBT Thursday! Last week I shared some photos of my childhood musical life. It was at the Teresa Carreño Foundation where I had my first great experiences in singing and acting. I remember that every afternoon parents would bring their children, and different recreational activities were held there. Among everything there was, I gravitated toward music, acting, and dancing, but obviously I excelled at singing.

Seven days ago I told you I only had one photo from those days, and it wasn't a lie, but one photo definitely leads to another. This week, thanks to my Aunt Nelly, my cousins' mother, I found the two tallest ones you can see in the picture, where we appear alongside another child I don't really remember and Professor Shamú from the choir. I love this photo; we appear with our cream-colored liqui liqui, possibly at one of the many Afro-Venezuelan music concerts we performed back then.

These activities did me a lot of good and helped me define my artistic side, which was already natural at home, but now seen from a more professional perspective, with performances and many responsibilities from a young age. Having started singing earned me many awards, which today I'm thrilled to know I won due to my great effort and not just talent. Which leads me to say goodbye with this photograph of the day I took my first-place plaque at a singing festival to my beloved grandmother... A photo that's worth gold to me, since I didn't have her in my life for long.

¡Hola a todos, bienvenidos a otro Jueves de #TBT!. La semana pasada compartí unas fotografías de mi vida musical en la infancia. Fue en la Fundación Teresa Carreño donde tuve mis primeras grandes experiencias en el canto y la actuación. Recuerdo que todas las tardes los padres llevaban a sus hijos y en este lugar se hacían diferentes actividades recreativas. Entre todo lo que había, yo me inclinaba, por la música, la actuación y el baile, pero evidentemente resaltaba más en el canto.

Hace siete días les dije que solo tenía una foto de aquellos tiempos, y no era mentira, pero definitivamente una foto llama a la otra, y esta semana encontré gracias a mi tía Nelly, la madre de mis primos, los dos más altos que pueden observar en la imagen, donde aparecemos junto a otro niño que realmente no recuerdo y el profesor Shamú de la coral. Amo esta foto, aparecemos con nuestro liqui liqui color crema, posiblemente en uno de tantos conciertos de música afrovenezolana que hicimos entonces.

Estas actividades me hicieron mucho bien y me ayudaron a definir mi lado artístico, ese que ya era natural en mi casa, pero ahora visto desde un punto más profesional, con presentaciones y muchas responsabilidades desde corta edad. Haber comenzado a cantar me hizo merecedor de muchos premios que hoy me emociona saber que gané debido al gran esfuerzo y no solo el talento. lo que me lleva a despedirme con esta fotografía del día que le llevé mi placa del primer lugar en un festival de canto a mi amada abuela... Una foto que vale oro para mí, ya que la tuve en mi vida poco tiempo 🙏

Happy midweek everyone! Once again, I want to share a walk along the seashore with my wife. Unlike the last time we were on the shores of Falcón State, this time we took these photos on a Wednesday morning, but in La Guaira State, specifically at Pantaleta Beach. We visited this place a few days before before dusk, so we wanted to explore it during the day and walk a little further, to hold hands and take pictures of ourselves ❤️ The morning was perfect, with a clear blue sky and the force of the waves hitting the shore...

¡Feliz mitad de semana para todos!. Nuevamente quiero compartir un paseo por la orilla del mar junto a mi esposa, pero a diferencia de la última vez que estuvimos en las costas del Estado Falcón, en esta oportunidad nos tomamos estas fotografías un Miércoles en la mañana, pero en el Estado La Guaira, específicamente en la Playa Pantaleta. Visitamos este lugar días antes antes del anochecer, así que queríamos explorarlo durante el día y caminar un poco más lejos, para tomarnos de la mano y tomar fotografías de nosotros mismos ❤️ La mañana fue perfecta, un cielo azul muy despejado y la fuerza de las olas golpeando la orilla...

The new thing that day was reaching the wave break that separates Playa Pantaleta and Playa Bonita. The place was very special; the distribution of rocks made us take many photographs, see different stones, and enter small pools. This beach has very strong waves, but we still tried to get in, without success. The rocky ground was very uncomfortable on our feet, and it felt like quicksand, as the waves crushed the entire shore. There were no palm trees nearby, but the sun wasn't too strong, so we walked on the long beach for hours.

La novedad ese día fue llegar hasta el rompe olas que separa la Playa Pantaleta y la Playa Bonita. El lugar era muy especial, la distribución de las rocas nos hizo tomar muchas fotografías, ver distintas piedras y entrar en pequeños pozos. Esta playa tiene un oleaje muy fuerte, pero aún intentamos meternos sin éxito. El suelo es de piedras, era muy molesto en los pies, además de que se sentía como arenas movedizas, ya que las olas tienen toda la orilla triturada por su fuerza. No teníamos palmeras cercas, pero el sol no estaba tan fuerte, así que caminamos en la extensa playa por horas.

A special greeting to all Hive travel lovers! Today I want to share with you a dream place and experience I had with my family, my wife, my mother, and my brother. To continue our vacation, we went to Ávila Mágica, and to live up to its name, this time we found pleasant, almost winter-like weather, where we were surrounded by clouds and fog for hours. That day, the city wasn't visible in the distance, but the clouds could be seen lying on the Caribbean Sea, looking toward the state of La Guaira.

¡Un saludo especial para todos los amantes de los viajes en Hive!. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un lugar y una experiencia de ensueño que viví en familia, junto a mi esposa, mi madre y mi hermano. Para continuar con nuestras vacaciones nos fuimos a Ávila Mágica, y para hacer honor a su nombre, en esta oportunidad nos encontramos con un agradable clima, casi invernal, donde estuvimos rodeados de muchas nubles y neblina por horas. Ese día no se veía la ciudad a lo lejos, pero sí se podían apreciar las nubes recostadas sobre el mar caribe, viendo hacia el Estado La Guaira.

This isn't an easily accessible place; to reach the top of Caracas, you have to take a Jeep or the cable car. We took the cable car, as my brother hadn't experienced that yet, and the trip from Maracay to Caracas had already been long enough. That day, we paid $10 per adult, although as public officials, we could have paid less. My mother did get on for free because she's elderly, but you need to have identification, either physical or digital.

Este no es un lugar de fácil acceso, para llegar hasta la cima de Caracas hay que subir en un Jeep o en el teleférico. Nosotros subimos en el teleférico, ya que mi hermano aún no conocía esa experiencia, además de que el viaje desde Maracay hasta Caracas ya había sido lo suficientemente largo. Ese día pagamos 10 dólares por cada persona adulta, aunque como funcionarios público pudimos pagar menos. Quien sí subió gratis fue mi mamá por ser de la tercera edad, pero para ello es necesario tener la identificación, ya sea en físico o digital.

Once at the top, we found many shops offering food, drinks, games, and souvenirs. The weather at Ávila Mágica has always been different. I've been here a couple of times, and sometimes it's sunny and clear, or it can only rain on the mountain. This day was simply freezing, but it made the scenery special, with the green of August vegetation, but with a sky full of whites and sky-blues. Flowers were not long in coming, adorning the entire path from the cable car to the popular Humboldt station at the top of Caracas.

Una vez arriba nos encontramos con muchos negocios para comer, beber, juegos y suvenires. El clima en Ávila Mágica siempre he distinto, es venido un par de veces, y a veces hay mucho sol y es un día despejado, como también puede estar lloviendo solo en la montaña. Este día simplemente hacía mucho frío, pero hizo que los paisajes fueran especiales, ya que tenía el verde de la vegetación de agosto, pero con un cielo lleno de blancos y azules celestes. Las flores no se hicieron esperar y adornaban todo el pasillo desde el teleférico hasta el popular Humboldt que se encuentra en la cima de Caracas.

Of all the times I've visited this place, this is the first time we decided to do so, to see the summit at night. It was very cold and breezy, but the whole place was special. We sat down to rest and enjoy a hot chocolate with the family. We were near the Hotel Humboldt and didn't know it was there. Although the lights were already on, the fog prevented us from seeing it. But suddenly, it appeared for a few minutes, a perfect opportunity to take pictures next to it.

De todas las veces que he visitado este lugar, esta es la primera vez que decidimos hacerlo para conocer la cumbre en la noche. Hacía mucho frío y había mucha brisa, pero todo el lugar fue especial. Nos sentamos a descansar y a disfrutar de un chocolate caliente en familia, estábamos cerca de Hotel Humboldt y no lo sabíamos, y es que aunque las luces ya estaban encendidas , la neblina no permitía que pudiéramos verlo, pero de pronto apreció por unos minutos, ocasión perfecta para poder fotografiarnos junto a el.

At the end of the day, we also visited the ice skating rink, and I remember my brother being amazed by it, just like the first time I visited it. I think the best part of this trip was having a winter adventure in the middle of the August heat. It made the place feel dreamy and reminded us of some of the December emotions. Al final del día también visitamos la pista de patinaje sobre hielo, y recuerdo que mi hermano estaba muy sorprendido por ello, igual que la primera vez que yo la conocí. Creo que lo mejor de este viaje fue haber tenido una aventura invernal en medio del calor de Agosto, hizo que el lugar fuera de ensueño y nos recordó algunas emociones decembrinas. I hope you all had a great start to the week 🙏 For my part, I'm enjoying rehearsing for my choir; there's a lot of new music of great religious value that we'll be sharing on our next international tour, full of places of high vibes and peace. Meanwhile, I've been remembering my last vacation, full of beach and so many adventures that I can't shake that feeling of summer and joy, which has led me to make my first entry in this Hive community and in a contest that I've been following for a while and until now I hadn't been able to participate in, the Shadow Hunters Smash Contest ❤️

There's magic in the effect shadows create on surfaces, especially the more geometric ones, like these ones I found on the beach. It wasn't even midday yet, but almost, and it was impressive for me to climb the breakwater to notice this checkerboard pattern of sand forming beneath the thatched awnings. I couldn't help but photograph them. Others were simply a long, straight line of shadows, stretching across the entire beach. There were few people there that day; I remember we were the kings of the coast, and that's why it was possible to take these photographs.

No era medio día aún, pero casi, y fue impresionante para mí subir el rompeolas para darme cuenta de que se formaba este ajedrez de arena debajo de los toldos de paja. No pude evitar fotografiarlos. Otros simplemente eran una gran hilera recta de sombras, y se extendían por toda la playa. Había poca gente ese día, recuerdo que éramos los reyes de la costa, y por eso fue posible tomar estas fotografías.

As the afternoon passed, the shapes of the shadows on the sand changed, but they remained very magical. I generally appreciate the contrast between light and shadow, but I never expect to see it on the beach, unless it's the shadows cast by the tall palm trees. I hope everyone here enjoyed this visual spectacle. I love these photographs and have been fondly saving them to share here. Thanks to everyone who reads and supports my posts. I've been a little busy with work, but I'm always in total gratitude and reciprocity with so many friends at Hive. May all the best continue to be true! 🙏

These days I have been thinking a lot about the connection I have had between music and spirituality. All my life I have been linked to religion and music, and it has been so much so that at some point in my childhood I thought that everything was the same, and in fact that is how my parents explained it to me, that singing is a gift from God and that I must put it at His service. Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for the life I have been given, but it always surprises me that among so many musical styles and places to sing, I seem to live connected to the church and in constant praise through songs.

When I moved to a new city and started a life without my parents, I thought I would distance myself a little from the Catholic world, but I ended up becoming the choir director at a church when I was just beginning to study music at the university level. I was in an Afro-Venezuelan music orchestra, and even then the concerts ended up being in churches. On top of all this, the choir where I make music seems to be more dedicated to sacred music than to popular Venezuelan or Latin American music, which is what is most often sung in Venezuela.

When we are reading new music and begin to achieve the sound you can hear in this video, I am transported to a world I did not know, the Renaissance, the Baroque, Romanticism, depending on the work. I always travel mentally, because it is not just rehearsing, it is constant learning, and I particularly immerse myself deeply in analyzing each composition. In fact, it really strikes me how strict the church was back then regarding music, but also how important works were created from even a simple verse in the Bible, with an intelligence that always captivates the musician who discovers it over time.

The video you see above is just a fragment of what our performance was like at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Not all of my colleagues are believers, but that is one of the holiest places we have ever been to, and we all agreed that it was the best concert of our international tour, especially because of the powerful atmosphere we experienced there. You could feel the presence of God, especially through the people who attended. I believe that at 37 years old, I have understood my mission in life, and although not everything around us is beautiful, I think every Venezuelan understands how hard it is to live inside or outside our country, somehow there is peace in my heart and a strong desire to continue... I hope to remain connected to the sacred through music for the rest of my life.

Estos días he pensado mucho en la conexión que he tenido entre la música y lo espiritual. Toda mi vida he estado ligado a la religión y a la música, y ha sido tanto que en algún momento de mi infancia pensé que todo era lo mismo, y de hecho así me lo han explicado mis padres, que el canto es un don viene de Dios y que yo debo ponerlo a su servicio. No hay día que no deje de agradecer la vida que me ha tocado, pero siempre me sorprende que entre tantos estilos musicales y lugares para cantar, parece que vivo ligado a la iglesia y en constante alabanza a través de canciones.

Cuando me mudé de ciudad y comencé una vida sin mis padres pensé que me alejaría un poco del mundo católico, pero terminé siendo director del coro de una iglesia, cuando apenas comenzaba a estudiar música a nivel superior. Estuve en una orquesta de música afrovenezolana, y aún así los conciertos terminaron siendo en iglesias, y además de todo esto, la coral donde hago música parece que se dedica más a hacer música sacra que música popular venezolana o latinoamericana, que es lo que más se canta en Venezuela.

Cuando estamos leyendo nueva música y comenzamos a lograr el sonido que pueden escuchar en este video me traslado a un mundo que no conocí, la época del renacimiento, el barroco, el romanticismo, dependiendo de la obra siempre viajo mentalmente, porque no es solo ensayar, es un aprendizaje constante y particularmente me sumerjo mucho al analizar cada composición. De hecho viene mucho a mi mente los estricta que fue la iglesia entonces respecto a la música, pero también de como se hacían obras importantes que nacen incluso de un simple versículo de la biblia, con una inteligencia que siempre cautiva al músico que la va descubriendo a través del tiempo.

El video que ven arriba es solo un fragmento de lo que fue nuestra presentación en la Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, en España. No todos mis compañeros son creyentes, pero ese es uno de los lugares más santos que hemos conocido, y todo estuvimos de acuerdo que fue el mejor concierto de nuestra gira internacional, especialmente por la fuerza de la atmósfera que vivimos allá. Se sentía la presencia de Dios, especialmente a través de la gente que asistió. Creo que a mis 37 años he entendido mi misión en la vida, y puede que a nuestro al rededor no todo sea bonito, creo que cualquier venezolano entiendo lo rudo que es vivir dentro o fuera de nuestro país, pero de alguna manera hay paz en mi corazón y muchas ganas de continuar... Espero seguir vinculado a lo sagrado por medio de la música por el resto de mi vida 🙏

Happy weekend everyone!. It's been a while since I've been on Q-Inspired by Music, and it's not that I haven't felt inspired during this time. In fact, almost all of my posts have been related to music in some way, but I was on vacation, away from the stage. Today marks the end of the first week of rehearsals, and now a very interesting season is coming up for my choir. We will even be singing outside our borders again, but among all the new and sublime music we are preparing, there is one piece that has stayed in my mind since Monday...

This Kyrie is only the first movement of a mass composed by Maestro Vicente Emilio Sojo, one of the most important musicians of the 20th century in Venezuela, who trained many of the maestros who today lead the music scene in our country. I was very surprised that at 37 years of age and with a lifetime of artistic experience in the choral world, neither my colleagues nor I were familiar with the Mass to Saint Efigenia and its powerful harmony and atmosphere with Renaissance and early Baroque influences.

This has made me reflect since the beginning of the week, because the music is really good, and today I can only share the requiem with you, because it is the only recording that exists. I have only been able to hear the Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei in our own voices once we read the music, and they are all wonderful. I can't believe that we sing music by such great and important artists, and that we don't know our own Venezuelan music, which, by the way, is of export quality.

That's why I wanted to start this post with this photograph I took a few days ago when I was walking down the street, not far from home, but I came across a church I had never seen before. It's called the Church of the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. I don't know anything about it, but its facade is imposing and at the same time neglected, located among ordinary buildings on an ordinary street, nothing special, and I immediately connected with the fact that this country has good music and that no choral or orchestral conductor does anything with their groups. I find it really sad. I feel like we abandon ourselves and exalt people from outside. I know it's not the case with everything, but there are many things that should be recognized and celebrated, and it doesn't happen.

But this story has a happy ending: the Vatican recognized two Venezuelans to be canonized on October 19. Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Sister Carmen Rendiles will be the first Venezuelan saints, and the entire Catholic Church here is celebrating and eagerly awaiting the date. This Kyrie, and other pieces from this mass, will be heard in the Vatican on that day, and of course it will be broadcast worldwide thanks to television and the internet. This work will also have its moment, going from being unknown even to Venezuelan musicians to being a harmony heard by people all over the world. In fact, we will also sing it in Caracas at the celebration event being prepared for the days following the canonization. I don't know about you, but to me it seems like something big, and it reminds me once again that everything has its moment to shine. Even after death, a person's legacy can be eternal; all that is needed are respectful people who want to perpetuate it 🙏

¡Feliz fin de semana para todos!. Tenía tiempo que no pasaba por Q-Inspired by Music, y no se trata de no haberme sentido inspirado durante este tiempo, en realidad casi todas mis publicaciones han sido referentes a la música de alguna manera, pero estaba en mi temporada vacacional, alejado de los escenarios. Hoy ha culminado la primera semana de ensayos, justo ahora viene una temporada muy interesante para mi agrupación coral, incluso cantaremos nuevamente fuera de nuestras fronteras, pero entre toda la música nueva y sublime que estamos preparando, hay una obra que ha quedado en mi mente desde el Lunes...

Este Kyrie solo es el primer número de una misa compuesta por el Maestro Vicente Emilio Sojo, uno de los músicos más importantes del siglo XX en Venezuela, y que ha preparado a muchos de los Maestro que hoy llevan la batuta de la música en nuestro país, y me sorprendió mucho que a mis 37 años de edad y toda una vida artística en el mundo coral, ni mis compañeros ni yo conocíamos la Misa a Santa Efigenia y su poderosa armonía y atmósfera con aires renacentistas y del barroco temprano.

Esto me ha hecho reflexionar desde inicios de semana, porque la música es realmente buena y hoy solo les puedo compartir el requiem, porque es la única grabación que existe. El Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus y Agnus Dei solo lo he podido escuchar en nuestras propias voces una vez que leímos la música, y todas son maravillosas. No puedo creer que cantemos música de artistas tan grandes e importantes, y que no conozcamos nuestra propia música venezolana, que por cierto, tiene calidad de exportación.

Por eso quise iniciar este post con esta fotografía que tomé hace unos días cuando iba caminando por la calle, no tan lejos de casa, pero me topé con una iglesia que jamás había visto. Se llama Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento del Altar. No sé nada sobre ella, pero su fachada es imponente y a la vez está descuidada, ubicada entre edificios cualquiera en una calle cualquiera, nada especial, e inmediatamente conecté con el hecho de la música buena de este país y que ningún director coral u orquestal hace con sus agrupaciones. Realmente me parece triste, siento que nos abandonamos a nosotros mismos y enaltecemos a personas de afuera. Sé que no pasa con todo, pero sí hay muchas cosas que deben reconocerse y celebrarse y no pasa.

Pero esta historia tiene un final feliz, el Vaticano reconoció a dos venezolanos para ser canonizados el 19 de Octubre; el Doctor José Gregorio Hernández y la Hermana Carmen Rendiles serán los primeros santos venezolanos y aquí toda la iglesia católica está de fiesta y esperando que llegue la fecha. Este Kyrie, y otros números de esta misa van a ser escuchados en el Vaticano ese día, y por supuesto que será transmitido a todo el mundo gracias a la televisión e internet. Esta obra también tendrá su momento, y pasará de ser desconocida por los mismos músicos venezolanos a ser una armonía escuchada por gente de todo el mundo, y de hecho también la cantaremos en Caracas en el evento de celebración que se está preparando para los días siguientes a la canonización. No sé ustedes, pero a mí me parece algo grande, y me hace recordar una vez más que todo tiene su momento de brillar, incluso después de la muerte, el legado de una persona puede ser eterno, solo falta que haya personas respetuosas que lo quieran perpetuar  🙏

Beyond the beauty of these pink flowers and their different shapes, everything about this corner seemed special to me. In fact, I came across some bees, but I didn't have the opportunity to photograph any of them in action. On the other hand, the earthy tones of the wall combined with the grass and the green of the leaves seemed perfect, so much so that I didn't mind spending several minutes under the harsh midday sun. It was one of those gardens that, although small, was worth leaving for posterity on my blog ❤️

I think these flowers are called Coralillo, and I love how the petals come together to form a larger, more striking bloom. I remember when I was a kid, plucking the flowers to collect them or give them to my mom, but now I just admire them and have the great honor of being able to preserve them for myself, but in photos, so I try to take good shots, even if they're just with my phone. Hoy quiero compartir unas fotografías que capturé en un lugar normal y pequeño, solo se trata de una hermosa pared de piedras, pero adornada con pequeños y floreados arbustos; sin embargo fue suficiente para inspirarme a concentrarme en capturar la belleza que ofrecía...

Más allá de la bellezas de estas flores de color rosa y sus diferentes formas, todo en este rincón me parecía especial, de hecho me topé con algunas abejas, pero no tuve oportunidad de fotografiar alguna de ellas en acción. Por otro lado, los colores tierra de la pared en combinación con el césped y el verde de las hojas me parecían perfecto, tanto que no me importó estar varias minutos bajo el inclemente sol de medio día. Era uno de esas jardines, que aunque pequeño valía la pena dejar para la posteridad en mi blog ❤️

Creo que estas flores se llaman Coralillo, y me encantan como se juntan los pétalos para formar una flore más grande y llamativa. Recuerdo que cuando era niño arrancaba las flores para coleccionarlas o regalárselas a mi mamá, pero ahora solo las admiro y tengo el grato honor de poder conservarlas para mí, pero en fotos, así que trato de hacer buenas tomas, aunque solo sean con mi teléfono. Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday! A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all the participants recommend music to each other. Today's post is special for one big reason: these are songs from the past that are returning in new versions, making them more fun and preventing them from fading from the memory of older people, while also reaching new generations. I recommend these three great classics.

With great excitement, today's recommendations begin with my beloved Shakira. She just uploaded her version of "Sombras" to her YouTube channel, a mariachi song I've heard from countless artists, although I'd highlight Javier Solís' version, possibly one of the first performers. Shakira had already performed live Mexican music before, and it's always been very successful. I think if she ever abandons her pop career, she could dedicate herself to mariachi. What surprised me most was her way of handling the bass; you have to hear it and be impressed too. I've been listening to versions of "Sombras" all week, thanks to Shakira, and I also suggest you listen to Rocío Durcal.

Shakira ya había hecho música mexicana en vivo antes y siempre le ha quedado muy bien, creo que si un día abandona su carrera en el pop podría dedicarse al mariachi. Lo que más me sorprendió fue su manera de manejar los graves, tienen que oírla y dejarse impresionar ustedes también. Tengo toda la semana escuchando versiones de Sombras, gracias a Shak, y también les sugiero que oigan a Rocío Durcal.

This is one of the most important Spanish-language songs of the 1990s, and with or without new versions, Gianluca Grignani's original song always reaches every generation, remaining an unforgettable song. Laura Pausini just recorded it in both Spanish and Italian to celebrate her new concert tour, and the truth is that it sounds great, with a very modern and fresh style. Plus, she looks beautiful in the music video; it seems like the years have passed. It's time to give this hit another chance. Andrea Bocelli's son had recently recorded it, but I like this version better.

It seems that as a Shakira fan, life wants me to hate Karol G 😅 but she doesn't allow it, now I revived the song Vivo Por Ella for the second year in a row with the recent performance with Bocelli at the Vatican, plus I'm very connected these days with everything that has to do with Rome and the Holy See, which I hope to visit next month 🙏 This song is special for all of us who are musicians, and also for music lovers. The studio version is the one I recommend listening to, but I wanted to share this live performance with you, since it is one of the events of this week.

A very interesting, fresh sound that brought this and other hits from Christina's first album from '99, now into this new decade. I love it when good music comes back with modern sounds ❤️

I think my wife and I are blessed among our group of friends, and it is that we had practically two months of vacation, while they had a weekend. This caused many jokes and laughter during our stay in Boca de Aroa, and in the end we enjoyed this reunion with all our souls, because although we are the best of friends, it seems that the time to meet and share together is more difficult every year... With the right people, it doesn't matter how much time passes, everything remains as we left it the last time, and we can't forget the WhatsApp group, but what is noticeable is that the years pass 😅 We can no longer wake up dancing like before, now the hours of sleep are untouchable 🤭

Creo que mi esposa y yo somos bendecidos entre nuestro grupo de amigos, y es que tuvimos prácticamente dos meses de vacaciones, mientras ellos tuvieron un fin de semana. Eso provocó muchos chistes y carcajadas en nuestra estancia en Boca de Aroa, y al final disfrutamos este reencuentro con toda el alma, porque aunque somos los mejores amigos, parece que el tiempo para encontrarnos y compartir juntos cada año es más difícil... Con la gente correcta no importa cuanto tiempo pase, todo sigue como lo dejamos la última vez, además de que no podemos olvidar el grupito de WhatsApp, pero lo que sí se nota que pasa son los años 😅 ya no podemos amanecer bailando como antes, ahora las horas de sueño son intocables 🤭

The night before, we dined like kings, and it's a good thing we did because it was possibly our last dinner as a group until our Christmas get-together. To close out the day, we cooked an endless grill because the girls miscalculated and had leftover food, but the good thing was that we practically had the next day's lunch already prepared. With our friends, we felt free to talk about any topic and sing together. In fact, we didn't have much choice the next morning. There was a power outage, and we had no choice but to go to the beach to play pelotas criollas, drink a couple of beers in moderation, and reheat the grill. It was something we didn't expect, but the stove was gas, so breakfast changed for everyone. A lot happened on that trip; inconveniences came and went, but everything made us laugh, and in the end, we were happy to share the time together.

La noche anterior cenamos como reyes, y que bueno que lo hicimos porque fue nuestra última cena como grupo posiblemente hasta nuestro encuentro navideño. Para cerrar el día preparamos una parrilla interminable, porque las chicas calcularon mal y la comida sobró, pero lo bueno es que teníamos prácticamente el almuerzo del día siguiente ya preparado. Con nuestros amigos nos sentimos libres de hablar de cualquier tema y cantar juntos, de hecho no tuvimos muchas opciones la mañana siguiente, hubo una falla eléctrica en el sector, y no tuvimos más opción que salir a la playa a jugar bolas criollas, beber un par de cervezas con moderación y volver a calentar la parrilla, fue algo que no nos esperábamos, pero la cocina era de gas, así que el desayuno cambió para todos. Pasó de todo en ese viaje, los inconvenientes iban y venían, pero todo nos daba risa, y es que al final estábamos felices de compartir el tiempo juntos.

I think the only thing I can't forgive the guys for was not joining me to watch the sunrise on the beach, but that didn't stop me, and with my poor wife, I had a dreamy time. When they got up, rested, things changed and the adventure continued. I always thank these people for the love they've shown me. Before, I was a very closed-off person, someone who preferred to stay home and had a hard time trusting people. It's not that I'm very trusting now; I think I've become somewhat reserved again, but with learning how to identify people of value, and my friends, our friends, have earned that title and much more... It's nice to know that there are people willing to take a couple of days off, even if the vacation is yours. They know it's one of the few moments to connect and catch up on life's stories... I'm already counting the days until our next meeting 🙏

Creo que lo único que no le perdono a los muchachos fue el hecho de que no me acompañaran a ver el amanecer en la playa, pero eso no me detuvo, y con la pobre de mi esposa pasé un momento de ensueño. Cuando ellos se levantaron, descansados la cosa cambió y la aventura continuó. Siempre agradezco a esta gente el cariño que me han dado, antes era una persona muy cerrada, el que prefería quedarse en casa y que le costaba confiar en la gente; no es que ahora sea muy confiado, creo que he vuelto un poco a ser reservado, pero con el aprendizaje de saber identificar a las personas de valor, y mis amigos, nuestros amigos se han ganado ese título y mucho más... Es bonito saber que hay personas dispuestas a tomarse un par de días libres, aunque las vacaciones sean tuyas. Saben que es uno de los pocos momentos para conectar y ponernos al día con los cuentos de la vida... Ya estoy contando los días para nuestro próximo encuentro 🙏

It's interesting to observe the passing of the days and the surprises they bring. I think no day is ever the same, even if it's the same routine; feelings always vary. This weekend I haven't felt very well; it's nothing serious, but I just want to lie down and rest. It's a little funny because my vacation season is just ending and work is starting, but perhaps it's the necessary rest I need to have a good week. When you don't allow yourself to rest, your body itself finds a way to make us pause from our daily routine.

Es interesante observar el paso de los días y las sorpresas que nos depara. Pienso que no hay ningún día parecido a otro, aunque sea la misma rutina, los sentimientos siempre varían. Este fin de semana no me he sentido muy bien, no es nada grave, pero solo deseo estar acostado y descansando. Es un poco cómico, porque justo ahora termina mi temporada vacacional y comienza el trabajo, pero quizás es el reposo necesario que necesito para tener una buena semana. Cuando uno mismo no se permite el descanso, el mismo cuerpo busca la manera de que hagamos una pausa en nuestra cotidianidad.

These photographs are from a sublime Sunday two weeks ago, when the blue sky was reflected in the sea off the coast of La Guaira, the best moment of my vacation. In fact, they are the last photographs I took on my way back home, and I decided to share them today to lift my spirits and capture a bit of the subtle emotion of that day. The entire journey back was wonderful; the highway passes by all the iconic places along the coast: Naiguatá, El Trigillo, Caraballeda, Macuto, La Guaira. There's nothing better than traveling the entire state by the sea.

Estas fotografías son de un Domingo Sublime, de hace dos semanas, cuando el azul del cielo se reflejaba en el mar en las costas de La Guaira, el mejor momento de mis vacaciones, de hecho son las últimas fotografías que tomé cuando iba de regreso a casa, y he decido compartirlas hoy para levantar mis ánimos y que me llegue un poco de la sutil emoción de ese día. Todo el camino de regreso fue maravilloso, la carretera pasa por todos los lugares icónicos del litoral, Naiguatá, El Trigillo, Caraballeda, Macuto, La Guaira. Nada mejor que recorrer todo el estado a la orilla del mar.

I hope these humble cell phone photos bring you peace. They calm me down a lot on dull days like today; they make me smile and transport me to better times. That particular day, I was with one of my best friends, my wife, my mom, and my brother, and of course, with my dad in my mind and heart. Going on vacation in my country isn't easy. In fact, to spend a few days of joy, you have to work hard to replenish your wallet, but experiences like the one we had there are priceless.

Espero que estas humildes fotografías de celular les transmitan mucha paz, a mí me calman mucho en días grises como hoy; me hacen sonreír y me transportan a mejores momentos. Ese día en particular estaba con uno de mis mejores amigos, mi esposa, mi mamá y mi hermano, y claro, con mi papá en mi mente y en mi corazón. Salir de vacaciones en mi país no es nada fácil, de hecho para pasar unos días de alegría luego hay que trabajar duro para reponer el bolsillo, pero experiencias como la que vivimos allá no tienen precio.

On days like today, I remember that after my dad's accident, what he most wanted was to be able to get out of bed and for us to take a family trip to the seaside. In the end, it wasn't possible, but his death was the greatest liberation he ever had, because his soul is alive and can go anywhere. My brother and I wanted to make that trip a reality, and in fact, we did it last year on his vacation. They were good times, but in my opinion, we were still very hurt from that trip.

Días como hoy recuerdo que luego del accidente de mi papá, lo que él más deseaba era poder levantarse de la cama y que hiciéramos un viaje al mar en familia. Al final no pudo ser, sin embargo su muerte fue la mejor liberación que tuvo, porque es su alma la que está viva y puede ir a cualquier rincón. Mi hermano y yo queríamos hacer realidad ese viaje, y de hecho lo hicimos el año pasado en sus vacaciones. Fueron buenos momentos, pero en mi opinión, aún estábamos muy heridos en ese viaje.

This year was even more wonderful. By pure chance, everyone's vacations coincided, so it was worth making an effort and making this trip a reality. It doesn't matter whether there are luxuries or not; the only thing that mattered was being together and enjoying creation. We went to a very faraway place, disconnected from everything we knew, in explorer mode with a heightened sense of adventure. And as I always say, time passes, and I'm still imbued with all the experiences that fill my soul. Those who read this know that I needed this family time and also the rest, so now a new stage begins, with my energies fully recharged to let myself be surprised by the most sublime things in life 🙏

Este año fue más maravilloso aún. por mera casualidad coincidieron las vacaciones de todo, así que valía la pena hacer un esfuerzo y hacer este viaje realidad. Nos fuimos a un lugar muy lejano, desconectados de todo lo que conocemos, en modo de exploradores con el sentido de la aventura muy elevado, y como siempre digo, pasa el tiempo, y sigo impregnado de todas las vivencias que complementan mi alma. I wish you all a happy weekend and send a special greeting to all the travel lovers at Hive! These days mark the end of my vacation, and since I'm returning to my musical routine, I wanted to share my experience on my most recent trip to Naiguatá, La Guaira State, Venezuela. We spent several days staying in the area, exploring various beaches, and as I mentioned in one of my previous posts, some of them were very rough, ideal for surfers. However, today I want to show you the beach we chose to spend the day with our family. It's Los Angeles Beach, another extensive coastline in Naiguatá, divided by several breakwaters to artificially separate them by sector.

¡Les deseo a todos un feliz fin de semana y envío un saludo especial a los amantes de los viajes en Hive!. Estos días significan el final de mis vacaciones, y ya que volveré a mi rutina musical quería compartir mi experiencia en mi más reciente viaje a Naiguatá, Estado La Guaira, Venezuela. Estuvimos varios días hospedados en la zona, conociendo diversas playas, y como dije en alguno de mis posts anteriores, algunas de ellas muy fuertes, ideales para surfistas; sin embargo hoy quiero mostrarles la playa que elegimos para pasar el día en familia. Se trata de Playa Los Ángeles, otra extensa costa en Naiguatá, divida por varios rompeolas para separarlas artificialmente por sector.

Los Angeles Beach is divided into A, B, D, and F. My family and I chose F to spend the day; it seemed the best and cleanest of all. The beaches of Naiguatá are very far from the connection between Caracas and La Guaira State, so they're generally not very crowded. We were here on a Thursday, and despite it being holiday season, there were few people to share this paradise. I think the most characteristic feature of this place, besides its remoteness, is its strong waves and the many nearby breakwaters. The latter is perfect for taking photographs of the coast.

Playa Los Ángeles está divida en A, B, D y F. Mi familia y yo escogimos la F para pasar el día, nos parecía la mejor y más limpia de todos. Las playas de Naiguatá están muy alejadas de la conexión entre Caracas y el Estado La Guaira, así que generalmente no están muy llenas de personas, además, nosotros estuvimos aquí un día Jueves, y a pesar de ser temporada vacacional habían pocas personas para compartir este paraíso. Creo que lo más característico de este lugar, además de su lejanía es su fuerte oleaje y el apreciar tantos rompeolas cercanos, pero esto último es perfecto para tomar fotografías de la costa.

Walking along the beach with my wife, we came across a Virgin of Carmen, although her little baby Jesus didn't have a head. Still, we felt it was a good omen, and with that little craft, we made our way from Beach F to Beach D. I must admit that the place has merchants like all the beaches we've visited, but there are obviously fewer of them, since there were actually few people. In fact, the businesses near the beach are very specific, such as, for example, I found only one liquor store on the road or a single bakery, although the towns of Naiguatá and Camurí are not too far away either. In fact, if you feel like walking, you can make the entire trip from town to town in less than an hour.

Caminando por la playa con mi esposa, nos encontramos con una Virgen del Carmen, aunque su pequeño niño Jesús no tenía cabeza. Aún así sentimos que fue un buen augurio, y con esa pequeña artesanía pasamos de la playa F a la playa D. Debo admitir que el lugar tiene comerciantes como en todas las playas que hemos visitado, pero evidentemente hay menos cantidad, ya que realmente habían pocas personas; de hecho, los negocios cerca de la playa son muy puntuales, como por ejemplo haberme encontrado con una sola licorería en la vía o una sola panadería, aunque tampoco están muy lejanos los poblados de Naiguatá y Camurí, de hecho si tienes ganas de caminar puedes hacer todo el trayecto de pueblo a pueblo en menos de una hora.

As I mentioned before, Beach F was my favorite. The water was perfect and the sand was clean and soft, but when we arrived early, we were drawn to the beach next door, Beach D. The latter looks like a small pool, surrounded by two breakwaters and is very shallow, so much so that people prefer to go right up to the edge of the breakwater, but it's perhaps perfect for children. On the other hand, the position of the breakwater causes some whirlpools to form in the area. But overall, it's possibly the most beautiful of all. I was looking for stronger waves, so I didn't stay there.

Como les conté antes, la playa F fue mi preferida. El agua estaba perfecta y la arena era limpia y suave, pero cuando llegamos temprano nos llamó la atención la playa que estaba al lado, la playa D. Esta última parece una piscina pequeña, rodeada por dos rompeolas y muy baja, tanto que la gente prefiere llegar hasta el límite del rompeolas, pero quizás sea perfecto para niños. Por otra parte, la disposición del rompeolas hace que se formen algunos remolinos en la zona. Pero en general posiblemente sea la más hermosa de todas. Yo estaba buscando olas más fuertes, por eso no me quedé ahí.

Beach A was the only one that truly disappointed me, even though it's the largest of all. It wasn't just the trash people had left there, and the fact that I visited very late, but also the strong waves that made getting in difficult. The shore practically feels like quicksand, and at the same time, you don't feel the soft sand under your feet like the previous beaches; instead, you can feel very sharp stones. People were still swimming there despite the late hour, the stones, and the trash. I wasn't familiar with this area, and the idea for this trip came from within, so I was happy to have chosen the perfect beach in the entire Los Angeles area.

La playa A fue la única que realmente me decepcionó, y eso que es la más extensa de todas. No solo era la basura que las personas habían dejado ahí, además de que la visité muy tarde, sino porque su oleaje fuerte hace que adentrarse sea una tarea difícil. Prácticamente la orilla se siente como arenas movedizas, y al mismo tiempo no se siente esa suave arena en los pies de las playas anteriores, sino que puedes sentir piedras muy filosas. En esa playa las personas aún se estaban bañando a pesar de la hora, de las piedras y de la basura. Yo no conocía esta zona, y la idea de este viaje salió de mí, así que me alegró haber elegido la playa perfecta de todo el sector de Los Ángeles.

Finally, I do recommend visiting Playa Los Ángeles, but believe me, the best is Playa F, the first one when you leave Naiguatá and head to Gran Camurí. There were people cleaning the place all day long, and there was food service and parking. If you have small children, I definitely recommend Playa D, which is just a breakwater away. Beaches A and B are dirty and have a lot of rocks; perhaps those are only the best options for those who prefer to sit and share with friends under the awnings. There are many beaches in La Guaira State, but these are truly special because of how lonely they are. As a bonus, before reaching Playa Los Ángeles, you'll also find Playa de Dios, one of the most recommended in the area, which I didn't make it to because I was tired. Ya para concluir, sí recomiendo visitar Playa Los Ángeles, pero créanme que la mejor es la Playa F, la primera al salir de Naiguatá y camino a Gran Camurí. Durante todo el día había personas limpiando el lugar, servicio de comida y estacionamiento. Si tienes niños pequeños, entonces sí te recomiendo la playa D que queda a un rompeolas de distancia. Las playas A y B están sucias y tienen muchas piedras, quizás esas solo sean la mejor opción para quienes prefieren sentarse a compartir con los amigos bajo los toldos. Hay muchas playas en el Estado La Guaira, pero estas realmente son especiales por lo solas que están, y como ñapa, antes de llegar a Playa Los Ángeles igual se encuentra Playa de Dios, una de las más recomendadas de la zona y a la que no llegué por cansancio 😅 Gracias a todos los que visitan y apoyan mis posts, nos vemos en el próximo viaje 🙏

Here in Venezuela, things are going through a lot of emotions (as always), but these days things are more intense regarding politics and the economy. But it turns out that the religious issue is also on everyone's lips, especially among Catholics like my family and me, and perhaps even among others who don't share my religion. All this I'm telling you is because the Vatican will canonize a Venezuelan saint for the first time, and it's a cause for celebration for many here. I live in the city center and see that events, statues, and concerts are slowly being prepared, as there's only a month left.

Aquí en Venezuela se están viviendo muchas emociones (como siempre), pero estos días las cosas están más intensas con el tema político y económico; pero resulta que el tema religioso también está en boca de todos, especialmente para los católicos como mi familia y yo, y quizás también alcanza a otros que no comparten mi religión. Pero todo esto que les digo se debe a que el Vaticano por primera vez va a canonizar a un Santo venezolano y es motivo de fiesta para muchos aquí. Vivo en el centro de la ciudad y veo que poco a poco se están preparando eventos, estatuas y conciertos, ya que solo falta un mes.

To summarize this section a bit, the first Venezuelan saint will be Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, but the Pope will also canonize Sister Carmen Rendiles on the same day, so we'll have two saints within a month on the same day. For me, this is a big deal, so on my mom and brother's recent visit to the capital, I decided to take them to the Archdiocese of Caracas, which, in addition to being a home for some church authorities, is a beautiful and elegant museum in the city center and close to my house. There's an exhibit there about this man who will soon become a saint, and I was very happy to see that my family enjoyed and loved these facilities as much as I did the first time I came here.

Para resumir un poco esta parte, el primer Santo venezolano será el Doctor José Gregorio Hernández, pero el Papa también va a canonizar el mismo día a la Hermana Carmen Rendiles, así que tendremos dos santos dentro de un mes el mismo día. Para mí, esto es algo grande, así que en la reciente visita de mi mamá y mi hermano a la capital, decidí llevarlos al Arzobispado de Caracas, que además de ser un hogar para algunas autoridades de la iglesia, es un hermoso y elegante museo en el centro de la ciudad y cerca de mi casa. Justo ahí hay una exposición de este hombre que se convertirá en Santo últimamente, y me alegró mucho ver que mi familia disfrutó y amo estas instalaciones tanto como yo lo hice la primera vez que vine aquí.

The Archbishopric also functions as a museum, and right now everyone is inspired to share their exhibitions about Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, not just here but in many important places around the city. I think I can take a tour to appreciate all the art dedicated to him, but it won't be as special as that day my brother and mother visited the capital. I don't know anyone else who enjoys relics and sacred art as much as I do. I can only hope that the political situation improves; it's not easy living surrounded by the threat of war every day. It's sad to know that for other people, this is a reality in countries far from mine, which is why I always put myself in their shoes whenever bad news reaches us. I hope things get better for everyone 🙏 and may this energy of holiness help calm both sides.

El Arzobispado también funciona como museo y justo ahora todos están inspirados en compartir sus exposiciones sobre el Doctor José Gregorio Hernández, y no solo aquí, sino en muchos lugares importantes de la ciudad. Creo que puedo hacer un tour para apreciar todo el arte que se está dedicando a él, sin embargo no será tan especial como ese día que mi hermano y mi mamá visitaron la capital, y es que no conozco a otros que disfruten tanto de reliquias y arte sacro como yo. Solo me queda esperar que la situación política también mejore, no es nada fácil vivir rodeado de amenazas de guerra todos los días. Es triste saber que para otras personas es una realidad en países lejanos al mío, por eso siempre me pongo en sus zapatos cada vez que las malas noticias llegan hasta aquí. Espero que las cosas mejoren para todos 🙏 y que esta energía de santidad ayude a calmar a ambos bandos.

I've lived in coastal states all my life, but not necessarily near beaches. To get there, you have to take a short trip through the mountains—and I'm referring more to Aragua than to the capital district. I remember when I was five years old, my mom had a concert in the town of Choroní, so they took us on that trip and we stopped by the beach. It was supposedly the first time I'd seen the ocean, and I was so scared I didn't even want to dip my toes in the water. However, this was actually my brother's first time, and it turns out my first time at the beach was many years before, when I was just learning to take my first steps... I don't remember that trip at all, but these photos I'm sharing with you today confirm it.

>Toda mi vida he vivido en estados costeros, pero no necesariamente cerca de las playas, y es que para poder llegar a ellas hay que hacer un pequeño viaje entre las montañas, y me refiero más a Aragua que al distrito capital. Recuerdo que a los cinco años mi mamá tenía un concierto en el pueblo de Choroní, así que nos llevaron a ese viaje y pasaron por la playa. Era la supuesta primera vez que yo veía el mar, y sentí tanto miedo que ni siquiera quería mojar mis pies en la orilla. Sin embargo, realmente esta fue la primera vez de mi hermano, y es que resulta que mi primera vez en la playa fue muchos años antes, cuando yo a penas aprendía a dar mis primeros pasos... No recuerdo ese viaje para nada, pero estas fotos que les comparto hoy lo confirman.

These photographs are not of good quality, and they're preserved in our oldest family album. They're few, but they capture the excitement of that first family trip, before my brother was born. The place is my mother's homeland, Coro, Falcón State, so I'm deeply rooted in that area of ​​the country, even though we lived in the center of the country. My parents not only took me to the Vela de Coro, but also to the Dunes, and the funniest thing is that now, as an adult, I post about these places as if it were my first time visiting them. 🤣 I look at the photos and realize I connected with the desert from the very beginning, but I can't say the same about the ocean, since I cry in every picture... No, I don't remember this trip, but I do remember all the love I received from my parents and all the effort they made to make my childhood happy and normal; first for me, and then twice as much work when my brother arrived. It's too bad that one doesn't remember what one experienced at that age, but how good it is to live a life focused on living great moments with the people we love, all of that is recorded in the mind and soul... I think this has been one of my favorite #TBTs 🙏

Estas fotografías no tienen buena calidad, y están conservadas en nuestro álbum familiar más antiguo. Son pocas, pero reflejan la emoción de ese primer viaje en familia, cuando aún no existía mi hermano. El lugar es la tierra de mi mamá, Coro, Estado Falcón, así que tengo sangre de esa zona del país, aunque nuestra vida la hicimos en el centro. Mis papás no solo me llevaron a la Vela de Coro, sino también a los Médanos, y lo más gracioso es que yo ahora de adulto publico sobre estos lugares como si fuera la primera vez que los visito 🤣 Veo las fotos y me doy cuenta que conecté con el desierto desde el inicio, pero no puedo decir lo mismo del mar, ya que salgo llorando en cada imagen... No, no recuerdo este viaje, pero sí recuerdo todo el amor que recibí de mis padres y todo el esfuerzo que hacían para que mi infancia fuera feliz y normal; primero para mí, y luego el doble del trabajo cuando llegó mi hermano. Que mal que uno no recuerde lo que vivió a esa edad, pero qué bueno es vivir una vida enfocado en vivir grandes momentos con las personas que amamos, todo eso queda registrado en la mente y el alma... Creo que este ha sido una de mis #TBT preferidos 🙏
