Having a tree garden in an area is very valuable.It is the responsibility of each of us to protect nature and trees in our environment.When we live in an environment, it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the health and safety of that environment.We know that currently, due to overpopulation, 

an environment is being destroyed because there is harmful plastic scattered around and stuck in the ground.

Plastics are enough to destroy our nature and trees.Therefore we must take responsibility for protecting the nature and trees around us.See we always forget to protect the nature around us because we are too busy with family work, but we should take some initiatives.Even if we cannot clean our environment every day, we should try to clean the surrounding environment at least once a week.

Today it is very important to protect a tree garden and it is very important to remove the stuck plastics.However although I was unable to protect the environment as per the rules due to being busy with family work, today I went to that familiar tree garden and cleaned up the plastics.

I came to that familiar green garden in the afternoon!

Attending Hivefest 7 (Amsterdam) and Hivefest 9 (Split) and meeting all the people who make up the hive ecosystem has been the ultimate hiveXperience for me.
Each time I got a huge motivational boost which led to the participation in several projects in the hive-ecosystem, participating at different fairs, conferences and exhibitions and more endurance in living through and with the depressed hive price.

Having never been to a Hivefest outside of Europe before, it was clear to me, when HivefestX was announced by live feed while attending hive creator days in Graz, I have to go there.

Unfortunately I was only able to book the flight at a very late point of time.. hence the flight is now pretty expensive and I blew already my whole budget by booking it and making the hotel reservation.   

So poor @solarwarrior hopes to win a ticket in this giveaway so that he still can afford some lunch while being over there... ;-)

Taking care of the creative part of the requirement list: 
I thought about getting a splinterlands tattoo onto my right cheek (and consequently hivefest X onto the left one).. but given the fact, that a hivefest attendee should be of exemplary behavior - especially if the host country is deeply religious - I guess this is not such a good idea. ;-)

So question is, what is the most creative thing I did in connection to hive... aaannndd... I guess you can see it here:

So what are my hopes for attending hivefest X?
- Meet personally and get a good connection to hiveans from Asia
- Discuss the status and future of @splinterlands with the team and the fanbase (playing it since inception and having many ideas)
- to look if there is a opportunity to boost @cleanplanet project in those Asian countries that are not yet active, discussing river clean ups and barriers - there should be a huge opportunity there
- get a first hand update about @vsc.network and discover use cases / business cases  
- find more hiveans that want to take part in our very own @solarisfuture project - if you have not heard of it you can find an introduction here https://peakd.com/hive/@solarisfuture/project-solarisfuture-now-officially-launched-get-your-esg-content-curated (more to come soon)
- and last but no least trying to launch an initiative to bring (micro)- aid / help-organizations and philanthropy to the hive blockchain

The last point might require some explanation:
With the @solarisfuture project we not only want to bring renewable know-how and microfinance via our own HBD pool to Africa, Asia and South America but we also want to use it as show case for help-organizations to show them that hive would be their perfect web3 platform for their daily operations.

How is this?
Help-organizations often battle with a big overhead, long decision times, trouble getting feedback and reporting from projects and lack of feedback, responsibility and governance what actually happend with the money. Looking at the hive borehole project you can very well see, that @mcsamm and crew already have a much better reporting than many of those multi million (billion) dollar aid projects. You can actually see people using the funds for the promised action.

So why not take it a step further:
- Identifying LOCAL people that want to manage a small aid project
- Helping them get onto the hive blockchain (mobile phones everywhere)
- Discussing and optimizing of their projects and plans by the hive community
- Budgeting and project planing by blogging on hive blockchain
- Selection of project by hive-community / solarisfuture-community
- Payout of project finance with HBD ( proof 100% of all funds went to the project)
- Payout could also be step by step by issuing installments due to project progress
- Reporting of project progress on hive blog
- After finishing of project frequent blogging updates about the project and how it impacts daily live and the community
- Blogging about lessons learned to encourage and enhance next / future projects
- Paying back the project finance out of economic cash savings / earnings from the project back to @solarisfuture, so that next projects can be financed (no interest of course)
- flywheel ready to go

So the give-away would make my trip much easier and would make me really happy as I have never won anything on hive ;-) - however this ends... already very happy if you have donated your precious time and read my whole post so far..

On Saturday, a group of volunteers from AVAA (the organization I volunteered for during college) went with the volunteer organization Todos X el Futuro to a cleanup day at Playa Verde, La Guaira, in celebration and awareness of World Beach Day (because it's never too late to celebrate that day).

Although I also went to a cleanup day the previous Saturday, this time was special because the Todos X el Futuro organization has been working for several years with children and young people from a vulnerable community to help them become leaders of the future, to know that each one can be an agent of change in their own lives, that there are other experiences and ways of living, that they must study and move forward. Over the years, they have learned about recycling, planting, cleaning up waste, etc. Sharing with them and giving them a different kind of day was a real blessing.

The day started early, at 8:00 a.m. Three buses were already leaving for the beach. When we arrived, I was shocked by how dirty and neglected the beach looked. At first, we did a lot of icebreaker activities, playing games like human salad, giant dwarf, trust exercises, among others. It was a lot of fun.

At around 10:00 a.m., we really got started on the job we had come for: cleaning up. We got down to work, cleaning as much as we could. In just one hour, we collected more than 103 kg of trash. I was surprised by how much the kids who were with me knew about recycling. I know it's strange for me to say this because we were obviously at the beach, but the sun was relentless that day, super strong. We were exhausted, but we still took a little time to rest and then played some games with the children. I was assigned to the youngest ones, and I was happy with my “Octopus-Horse” squad. 

>A eso de las 10:00 am, empezó realmente el trabajo para el que fuimos, la limpieza, nos pusimos manos a la obra, a limpiar tanto como pudimos, en sólo 1h recogimos más de 103kg de basura, me quedé sorprendida de lo mucho que sabían los chamos que estaban conmigo sobre el reciclaje. Sé que es extraño que diga lo siguiente porque obviamente estábamos en la playa, pero el sol ese día estuvo inclemente, superfuerte, quedamos agotados, aun así tomamos un ratito para descansar y luego hicimos unos juegos con los niños, a mí me tocaron los más chiquitos, andaba feliz con mi escuadrón “Pulpo-caballito”.

At around 12:30 p.m., we finished all the activities, so they gave us some free time to rest. A small group of us decided to go get some ice cream to take a break from the sun and cool off. It was an incredible and dynamic morning. I arrived home exhausted, ha ha ha, but it was 10000% worth it. Beach cleaning is one of my favorite activities. Whenever we can take action from our own spaces and possibilities and change reality even a little bit, it's a win for the planet and future generations.

 Another Saturday as a volunteer cleaning Playa Verde 💚 [ENG | ESP] 

I'm sharing a project I just started:

**The Need:**
I've been looking for germination ingots for some time to germinate seeds indoors and then plant them in the ground.
The only ones I've found are bricks made from coconut fiber or peat, and they're quite expensive, especially since there are shipping costs. And they don't come in the size I'm looking for, even though they can be cut to size.

**The Idea:**
Seeing some honeycomb cardboard boxes that I hadn't yet put in the recycling bin, I thought they could make a base for my ingots. They're made of plant fibers, minimally processed if you use the brown ones, and they don't have any ink on them.
There's, of course, the problem with the glue used in its composition, but I thought that several rinses could eliminate it.
Recycling and low-cost manufacturing are key factors for me.

**Project development:**
With the basic idea in mind, I had to do some research to verify its feasibility. For this, I enlisted the help of Copilot.
They welcomed the idea and found it very relevant. An exchange of advice ensued, which I refined based on my needs and abilities.
This allowed me to establish a method, a program, and evaluation tests.

**Project Benefits:**

- **Useful Recycling**: I'm giving packaging cardboard a second life.
- **Good Water Retention**: The cardboard pulp retains moisture, making it perfect for germination.
- **Aerated Structure**: The fibers create porosity that promotes root oxygenation.
- **Biodegradable**: The ingots can then be planted directly in the ground.

**Necessary optimizations:**

- **Glue**: Brown cardboard is often untreated, but it may contain glue; repeated soaking and rinsing are required to remove as much of it as possible.

- **Nutrients and pH**: Cardboard contains no nutrients and is slightly basic. A little acidity should be added to achieve a neutral pH. Adding coffee grounds in a proportion of about 10% provides both nutrients and acidity.

- **Storage**: After drying, the ingots may become brittle. One solution would be to dry them in an oven at 50–60°C to harden them if they are not used immediately.
Adding plant fibers from dead leaves can strengthen the structure and also provide nutrients as they decompose.

- **Safety**: Since we can't guarantee that all the glue will be removed, do not use these ingots for food crops.

- **Mold**: To limit the risk of mold, kiln drying will help. You should also use very dry coffee grounds, and adding powdered charcoal would be advisable. Since I don't have any, I'll test without it.

**The manufacturing process:**

- **Step 1**
Cut the cardboard into small pieces, being careful to use only the uninked parts, and soak it in water, preferably hot, but I chose cold water to save money.
When the heating is on at home, I'll place the container on a radiator.
Squeeze and rinse several times to remove the glue.
This should take several days.
I'm at this stage as my photos show.

- **Step 2**
Mix the soaked cardboard, dead leaves, and coffee grounds to obtain a sufficiently fine and homogeneous pulp.
Then drain this mixture.

- **Step 3**
Now we can proceed with the molding, and here anything goes: you choose the size and shape—that's the advantage of DIY!

- **Step 4**
This is the final step of the success test. We plant seeds and wait to see if they germinate. I haven't reached this stage yet, but I'll keep you updated on progress in other posts.

Je partage un projet que je viens de démarrer:

**Le besoin:**
Je cherche depuis quelque temps des lingots de germination pour faire germer des gaines à l'intérieur et ensuite les mettre en terre.
Les seuls que j'ai trouvés sont des briques à base de fibre de coco ou de tourbe, et elles sont plutôt chères surtout qu'il y a des frais de port. Et elles ne font pas la dimension que je recherche, même si il y a moyen de les re couper.

**L'idée:**
En voyant des cartons alvéolés que je n'avais pas encore descendu aux poubelles de recyclage, j'ai pensé que cela pourrait faire une base pour mes lingots, ils sont en effet composés de fibres végétales, peu transformées si on utilise ceux de couleur brune, et sans inscription à l'encre.
Il y a bien sûr le problème de la colle qui entre dans sa composition, mais j'ai pensé que plusieurs rinçages pourraient l'éliminer.
Le recyclage et la fabrication au moindre coût sont des facteurs déterminants pour moi.

**L'élaboration du projet:**
Avec l'idée de base, il a fallu que je fasse des recherches pour vérifier la faisabilité, pour cela je me suis fait aider par Copilot.
Il a bien accueilli l'idée et l'a trouvé très pertinente, il s'en est suivi un échange de conseils que j'ai affinés en fonction de mes besoins et capacités.
J'ai ainsi pu établir une méthode, un programme et des tests d'évaluation.

**Les avantages du projet:**

- **Recyclage utile** : je donne une seconde vie au carton d’emballage.
- **Bonne rétention d’eau** : la pulpe de carton va garder l’humidité, c'est parfait pour la germination.
- **Structure aérée** : les fibres créent une porosité qui va favoriser l’oxygénation des racines.
- **Biodégradable** : les lingots peuvent être ensuite plantés directement en terre.

**Les optimisations nécessaires:**

- **Colle** : le carton brun est souvent brut, mais il peut contenir des colles, il faut faire de trempages rinçages répétés pour l'éliminer au  maximum.

- **Nutriments et pH** : le carton ne contient pas d'éléments nutritifs et il est légèrement basique, il faudrait ajouter un peu d'acidité pour arriver à un pH neutre, l'ajout de marc de café dans une proportion d'environ 10%, apporte à la fois des nutriments et de l'acidité.

- **Conservation** : après séchage, les lingots risquent de devenir friables. Une solution serait de les faire sécher dans un four à  50–60 °C pour les durcir si on ne les utilise pas de suite.
L'apport de fibres végétales des feuilles mortes peut renforcer la structure et apporter aussi des nutriments lors de leur décomposition.

- **Sécurité** : comme on n'est pas sûr d'éliminer toute la colle, ne pas utiliser ces lingots pour des cultures vivrières.

- **Moisissure** : Pour limiter le risque de moisissure, le passage au four va aider, il faut aussi utiliser du marc de café bien sec et l'adjonction de charbon de bois en poudre serait souhaitable, comme je n'en ai pas, je ferai le test sans.

**Le processus de fabrication:**

- **Etape 1**
Découper le carton en petits bouts, en faisant attention de ne prendre que les parties non encrées, et le faire tremper dans de l'eau, chaude de préférence, mais j'ai choisi l'eau froide pour réduire le coût.
Quand le chauffage sera en fonctionnement chez moi, je mettrai le récipient sur un radiateur.
Essorer et rincer plusieurs fois pour éliminer la colle.
Ca devrait prendre plusieurs jours.
J'en suis à ce stade comme le montent mes photos.

- **Etape 2**
Il faut mixer le carton détrempé, les feuilles mortes et le marc de café pour obtenir une pulpe suffisamment fine et homogène.
Ensuite il faudra égoutter ce mélange.

- **Etape 3**
On peut maintenant procéder au moulage, et là tout est permis, vous choisissez la taille, la forme, c'est l'avantage du DIY !

- **Etape 4**
C'est l'étape finale du test de réussite, on plante des graines et on attend de voir si ça germe, je ne suis pas encore arrivé à ce stade, mais je vous tiendrai à jour de l'avancée dans d'autres posts.
