Introducing Hive Witness Explorer by Aliento
Hello Hive friends,
I’m excited (and yes, a little nervous) to finally share something I’ve been building over the past couple of months — a new app and website called:
But before we dive into the features, here’s a little context on how this project came to life.
How It Started
Back in April, @theycallmedan reached out and introduced me to Replit — a platform where you can build apps with the help of AI agents using something called Vibe Coding. I had already heard a bit about it (both the excitement and the skepticism), but I hadn’t given it a proper try.
Since I’ve been learning software development — currently focused on Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — I decided to explore it further. I even took this free course to get started:
To my surprise, Replit turned out to be a great place to bring real ideas to life. It’s not magic — you still need to understand coding fundamentals, but the process has been fun, challenging, and very educational.
Why Build This App?
I’ve always wanted to create a Hive Witness Dashboard — a place where:
- Anyone can view key information about Hive witnesses
- Voting and setting a proxy is simple (including for @aliento)
With Dan’s encouragement and Replit’s tools, I finally started building. It’s taken time (I tend to obsess over small details), but I kept pushing forward and now I’m proud to share the first version publicly.
You can explore the app at:
It works with Hive Keychain — even from the internal browser in the mobile app.
You do not need to log in to use basic features.

Change "eddiespino" or "aliento" for your username to check your stats.
To vote or set a proxy, you’ll need to log in with Hive Keychain using your active key.

- Top voters (direct + proxy)
