Now what is the car that this belongs to?

It's an old car cassette radio, and let's go see the car... 014.jpg

...this one is something special, as it has seen many ocean sand dunes.

I am sure that I don't have to introduce the old Mini Minor cars to you, as millions have been produced.

But for the younger generations that have not seen it, please visit this Wikipedia source below.

The Mini is a very small two-door, four-seat car, produced for four decades over a single generation, with many names and variants, by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors British Leyland and the Rover Group, and finally (briefly) under BMW ownership. Minis were built as fastbacks, estates, convertibles, and various other body styles. Minus a brief 1990s hiatus, from 1959 into 2000, an estimated 5.38 million of all variations combined were built, and the Mini's engines also powered another 2 million Mini Metros, though the Mini eventually outlasted its successor.

I worked with a Russian friend in the 80s, and we worked as technicians at a large dairy. He had a small green 2 door Mini. So, one day he came to tell me that he was stepping out to start his own business. A few months later he contacted me to offer me a job. The crux of the matter was that he had many tools and two gas bottles, and as we worked at dairies across the country we travelled with all of the tools in his small mini. We stuck the long gas bottles in from the boot, and as it rested between us, I had to lift the bottles for him to get to the gear lever.

It was a real adventure to travel around in that little mini for many miles, loaded with tools that we used to do stainless steel work in the dairies. The thing is that the lusty little mini never gave us any troubles, and years later he bought a big van, but by that time I was gone. I am still friends with that Russian guy to this day, and we have good memories of those adventures. Such was life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
