Hello my frenz...

As some of you know, we’ve had an APK floating around that people have been sideloading almost since the very beginning of this project. While it’s totally possible to keep @snapie as an app that Android users sideload forever, it’s not really the best idea.

After all, we’re trying to reach the broader market. That means being on the Play Store isn’t just about convenience — it’s about reaching new eyes, a new audience, and potentially bringing in awesome new Hiveans. With this in mind, we’re entering a very important stage: submitting to Google Play.

Closed Testing

We estimate this phase will take about 15 days. An internal distribution version of @snapie is now officially available on Google Play. To access it, though, you’ll need to join our tester group. Yes… that means we’ll need your email.

Please do not share your email address in this post. The correct way is to join our Discord server and contact us directly. Don’t worry — once you’re there, you can ask for help and the team will be happy to assist.

It’s important that the email address you provide is the same one connected to your Android device. In other words, a burner email won’t work.

Why join?

Aside from the fact that @snapie has gotten some awesome upgrades (which only internal testers will get to enjoy first), you’ll also be doing your part to help Hive grow. It’s really that simple. The more people we reach, the stronger Hive becomes — and that helps all of us as Hiveans. After all, we all want Hive to thrive, right?

We fully expect Google’s process to have a few setbacks here and there, but as we’ve said from the beginning, we’re way too stubborn to give up. With your help, we can hit this milestone and move closer to sharing Snapie with the world.
