Bitter Freedom and Sweet Slavery .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 242

(78)inEcencyβ€’

Before even starting, just to clarify... I'm not a fan of bitter food or drinks, tried Schweppes, not my drink... Until @godfish finds my "magic beer", I'm not a fan of them either... But, this post will not be about that at all...

WorkerBee Pool 242.jpg Created on Canva.com, using my photo as a background

It will not be about the movie Matrix (of course, the first part πŸ˜ƒ), which was one of the movies that shaped my personality and had a huge impact when it came out... It will not be about it, but the idea did come from one specific part of the movie...

Source: youtube.com

Yeah, all of us were imagining ourselves as Neo, as a savior of the world... The same thing as when we are watching any superhero movie, but the truth is that most of us are more like Cypher... Why? Because humans (almost) always pick the "easy route"! And, the easy route is to get that stake, even if it's fake, over a tasteless wheat! Sweet slavery...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

Somewhere, I saw an interesting meme where there was a comparison between two types of people... On one side, there was a guy who owns the newest sports car (loan), who lives in an expensive house (mortgage), and wears all possible fashion trademarks on himself... On the other side, there was a guy who owned his (common brand) car, living in (his own) flat, wearing shorts and a white T-shirt, barbequing with his family... The question under the meme was: "Who is rich and who is poor?"

dreams.jpeg Found it on: reddit.com

As I didn't find that meme, I found another one, which is appropriate for this topic too... The message is similar, and the text at the top is awesome too... I bet you got something similar to the guy at the bottom at least once in the last few years... I know I did... multiple times... lol... Which reminds me about another anecdote...

It was a tennis player, Novak Djokovic, who knew how to receive hateful comments from the audience during the matches... Among the big three, himself, Nadal, and Federer, he was the one who "wanted to ruin" the rivalry of the other two... But, he found the perfect way to keep winning, and to keep himself motivated... He did a kind of alchemy during the matches, whenever someone would "boo" him, in his head, he would transform that into cheering, and feed his motivation even more! I suppose we did something similar every time someone would say, "You will lose everything. Bitcoin will go to zero!" πŸ˜ƒ

Liotes Divider Blue.png

Truth to be told, it's not easy to be on the "other side" of the balance... It's hard to be a pioneer, and it's hard to be the first... It's hard to lead the pack, as negativity comes from the "pack" itself... Sometimes, the "I told you so!" sentence is miles and miles long away from the current point... But, it's the cost of a bitter freedom... I suppose after the pain, it comes a period of "enjoying in fruits of our labor", when we find that "magic beer" that we finally like, or we just get used to the bitterness of freedom...

The moment when people are freaking out, but you have done what was needed a long time ago... You are ready... and you can say it freely...

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...

This week, we have mined 88 BEE tokens in total, 6 more than the week before! πŸ’ͺ

This week, we didn't get new delegators! On the other side, we got new delegations from old members, as usual! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!

This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

image.png image.png
Liotes Divider Blue.png

What about the bonus tokens?

Whenever I distribute the CTPSB tokens as a bonus, the amount of tokens is lower and lower! That rarely happens with Hive-Engine tokens, as most of them are going down, so payouts are "bigger"... Of course, bigger in those tokens, not in the VALUE of them... With the CTPSB is a bit different as the token value goes up by design, which is the main reason why I'm distributing fewer tokens every next time...

There will be distributed 2.3 CTPSB tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

image.png

2.3 CTPSB tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 10.863%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 13.170%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

All payments will be made after publishing this post...

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section!

You can find more about this pool in the initial post here https://ecency.com/hive-119826/@ph1102/workerbee-p-h-ool-let-s-help-each-other.

Thank you for your time.

Thx for the news and the tokens! I'm already collecting tokens for the next Workerbee to delegate, but the process is going slowly. I'm trying, just from my work. Or maybe it's better and faster (and easier, hahah) to buy 100 WBs and delegate them to you? The Matrix GIF

Hehehe... You should do what you think is best for you... πŸ˜ƒ Recently, I have liked to wait to see the price coming to me and not me chasing it... It does take more time, but it's worth it... Of course, that doesn't mean it works for others...

      No hurry, no worry... πŸ˜ƒ

Thanks for the tokens. Your story reminds me of th poem talking about two roads - one well traveled while the other Road less traveled. Talking about most people picking the easy way (well traveled road) or the hard way (road less traveled).

I've never really thought that the road less traveled is the hard way. Though I guess you're right. Because you have to find the route and often need to clear a pathway. But the views are spectacularly rich. And I live it my way.

I didn't hear about that poem, but it is very similar... Now that you mentioned that, isn't it always more interesting to take some local roads or paths over a boring highway? πŸ˜ƒ

Another hard part with bitter freedom is when every now and then, you stumble along the way and the I told you so crowd feel super empowered throw dunk on you lol. It takes a lot of discipline and patience to stay the course. Sweet slavery is kind of similar to the lady in the red dress :)

Hehehehe... especially when the bear market is lasting longer than usual... hahahaah... Most of the time, you have to listen to the same crap of everything going to zero... I'm kind of used to that, and don't even pay attention... πŸ˜‚

That lady is definitely on the sweet part of the story... 🀣

Great clip from Matrix! I remarked it too! But there is something to consider. Cypher is not ignorant. He just chose to not care and to betray, to live what he thought would be a great fantasy which he knew was fake. In reality, many people are fooled by "the matrix" and don't see reality from manipulation. To be fair, it becomes more and more difficult to see through the web of lies.

I loved all your non-textual inserts from the first part. I knew the adage about the bird born in captivity, and it speaks a lot about how limited our viewpoint can be, and how little we are prepared to accept something not familiar to us and contradicting our own beliefs.

The meme with Morgan Freeman is from The Shawshank Redemption, a movie I saw many times and always loved it.

to live what he thought would be a great fantasy which he knew was fake.

Someone could say that his main issue was that he KNEW it was fake... While all others who were "living" in the Matrix didn't know... He had a choice, while others didn't... So, that's his "guilt"... of course, the rest of what he did was a lot more guilty... πŸ˜‚

I agree. He had a choice and made the wrong one. But still, he had the freedom to choose, while others either don't or don't know they have a choice.

Being first is tough. You never know how things will work out and sometimes you also have to rely on timing to have success too.

Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/CTPSB tokens

As I read this post, BTC is moving up. Haha.

I think too many people (only) watch and believe what they see on media. Sometimes we need to engage a bit more widely, and develop independent thinking. What's safe is might not be always safe. And what's risky might not be always risky. Haha.
