In 2021, I won a $5,000 scholarship to study social media management, that was the beginning of my career path. I began to learn the basics of social media management up until the intermediate stage. That course formed the foundation of my career and has helped me land great gigs over the last couple of years. Today I look back and I’m forever grateful for that scholarship through Coursera. I am currently striving to do an advanced course in digital marketing and if there is any scholarship I want it would be that.

Early this year I tried applying for a course in ads management (one tiny aspect of digital marketing) and I was charged 650,000 naira ($450 approximately) for just that. I was ready to pay for it, until I encountered an issue that made me think twice. That knowledge alone would have doubled my stream of income, now imagine how much knowledge a full advanced course would have given me. Moreso, imagine how much a full advanced course will cost. The last time I checked, it cost $20,000.I have always hoped to be a professional in this field and thus I have taken a lot of courses and bought a lot of materials to help me grow.
I have taken a liken to social media management which is where I have a very strong foundation, but I also have good experience with content marketing, copywriting, email marketing, Ads and affiliate marketing and I would so much love to grow into a pro in at least one of these fields preferably social media management of Adsense. Although the journey has been really rocky with every little growth adding significantly to my income stream, which is why I so much want to advance so my fiances can advance as well and a scholarship in this, would be life changing for me.
