Hi everyone,happy weekend i believe is going smoothly,sometimes in life we get opportunities that look small at the beginning but later turn out to be very big. Looking back, one of my biggest regrets was the time I had a free opportunity to learn UI/UX design back then in 2021.At that moment I did not take it seriously,i thought I could always learn it later, a friend of mine introduced it to me,I did not know the value of that free chance until I lost it.

Theee years later, I realized how important UI/UX design is, especially in today’s world where technology is growing fast and every company wants digital solutions. By the time I understood it well, the opportunity was gone and I had to use a huge amount of money to learn the same thing I could have learnt freely, I felt bad, not only because of the money I spent, but because I wasted time too.

This regret taught me a strong lesson that free opportunities are not always useless or small, Sometimes they are golden doors that can open many blessings in the future. If I had taken that chance earlier, maybe I would have been far ahead in the design field by now. I would have saved money, gained more experience, and built my career faster.

If I am given a second chance, I will never look down on any free opportunity again no matter how small it may look, I will grab it with both hands because I now understand that knowledge is power and every little skill we gain today can save us tomorrow.

In the end, I have accepted that regret is also part of growth,Missing that free chance pained me, but it also made me value my journey more. Now I push myself to learn, to improve, and to make sure I never take any opportunity that comes my way for granted.Thanks for reading.

Happy weekend to you all,hope our weekend is going smoothly,Uhmm you see this topic when i saw it on the community i was like im picking this and im sharing my honest thought on it,though it sound so simple but honestly it is deep because I see myself in both side,Like being both generous and as well selfish, I can say I am generous but at the same time I also know there are moments I am selfish and I don’t even regret it at all at all.

For me, being generous is something that comes naturall, I like giving, I like helping people and I feel happy when I put smile on someone face or make people happy,Sometimes I give even when I don’t really have much but I just feel like someone need it more than me. For example now if a friend or even stranger ask me for help, if I can do itI will not think too much before helping I believe we rise by lifting others, so I don’t hold back when I know I can give the little  i have just to make another person happy, supporting someone in their hard time or giving advice, I try my best to be there you know that is the part of me I am proud of, because life is so so short and we are not here only for ourselves.

But on the other hand, I can’t lie ooo I am selfish in some areas too. Not in the bad way, but in a way that protect meI notice that when something begin to affect my peace of mind or my mental health, I quickly draw back. I don’t allow anybody use my kindness against me or drain my energy. In this world, if you are too open and always giving without control, some people will just take advantage of you as if you are stupid or fool for doing that. That is where my selfish side enter. I say no when I feel it is too much or when it will break me down or affect me, I keep some things only for myself, like my private space, my time, and sometimes even my dreams. Because I believe you cannot pour from an empty cup, so protecting myself first is not wickedness or being selfish, it is survival🤷

So at the end of the day,i xan say I am both generous and selfish depending on situation. Generous because I like to help and I can’t stand to see people suffering if I have the little that can help. Selfish because I also want to live, to stay sane to protect my heart from people that may not value my kindness.

I don’t think anybody is 100% generous or 100% selfish, life balance the twoFor me, I try to stay in the middle where I can give and still keep myself safe. That is the type of person I am,and which i always tell people.Thanks for listening to know my honest thought

Generous or Selfish, Which am I and Why?

Happy weekend to you all,i believe our day is going smoothly,If I could choose any animal in the whole world to keep as a pet, I think I would go for a peacock 🤔when i was small, I have been drawn to its beauty and elagant. Those bright blue and green feathers, the shiny tail that opens wide like a giant fan it’s like a living piece of art. Sometimes I just stare at pictures of them when i come across it online, imagining how it would feel to have one walking in my own backyard playing you know😀

As a designer, I’ve always been fascinated by colors and how they work together. The peacock feels like the perfect example of nature’s best color combination like deep blues, rich greens, a hint of gold all blending together. It’s like a real-life mood board for creativity. I imagine sitting outside, sketching while my peacock strolls by, and finding inspiration in every feather.

What I like most is the way they carry themselves. A peacock doesn’t rush, It walks slowly, proudly, as if it knows it’s special on its own God is great, There’s a certain confidence in its steps, like it’s saying, “Look at me, I’m made to be seen.” I think if I had a peacock, it would remind me every day to be confident too, no matter how life is going, i would always love my self first

I also love the idea of having a pet that feels a little magical. I’ve never touched a peacock before sha but I imagine the feathers would be soft, and the sound of it calling would echo through the yard. Some people might find them noisy, but for me, it would just be part of its personality and how God created it is its on image

Of course, keeping a peacock wouldn’t be as easy as having a cat or dog, which i dont really like, you know peackock,They need space to roam, fresh food, clean water, and a safe place to rest. I would have to make sure no other animals disturb it. But honestly, if you truly love something, taking care of it doesn’t feel like hard work.

Sometimes I picture a more magical version in my mind, a peacock with feathers that glow faintly at night, lighting up my garden like fairy lights. Or maybe it could fly far and take me with it, showing me the world from the sky, imagination will not kill me ooo😀🤣

To me, a peacock wouldn’t just be a pet. It would be a symbol of beauty, grace, creativity, and a quiet kind of strength. A reminder that life can be colorful, proud, and elegant, even in small moments.

So yes, if I could have any pet in the world, it would be a  peacock ,crowned with feathers and the perfect muse for a designer’s heart.

If I Could Pet Any Animal in the World ,My Peacock Dream

Hi everyone,i believe our weekend is going smoothly im glad to join this community,this will be my first post here and im a lover of good movies.

Few days ago, I decided to relax and watch a movie, and I ended up choosing Battlefield 2025. Honestly, I didn’t expect much when I started it, but as the movie went on, I got glued to my seat. It’s a sci-fi action movie with a touch of suspense and some moments that make you jump.

The story is about a small desert town in the United States where strange things start happening. There is this sudden attack from alien forces, and at first nobody knows where they are coming from or what they want. The movie didn’t waste too much time before throwing us into the action. I like that because I’m the type that gets bored if a movie spends too much time on long talk before the real action starts.

One thing I enjoyed most was how the movie built tension. You see normal everyday scenes at first, like people in the diner, police doing their rounds, and teenagers just hanging out. Then little by little, things start changing. The electricity starts going off, strange lights in the sky, and before you know it, the aliens appear. The way they appear was scary and interesting at the same time.

I also liked how different people in the town reacted. Some wanted to fight, some wanted to run, and some didn’t even believe anything was wrong until it was too late. There was this ex-military guy who became the leader in trying to fight back. He reminded me of those “one man army” characters in old action films. Even though some of the acting felt a little low budget, I still enjoyed watching him lead the fight.

The fight scenes were exciting. The gun battles, the explosions, the way the aliens moved,it gave me that “war movie meets sci-fi” feeling. You can tell they didn’t have the budget of a Hollywood blockbuster, but they still tried to give us plenty of action. Some scenes even made me pause and rewind because they were that good.

If I’m being honest, the movie is not perfect. Some parts felt a bit rushed, and some characters just disappear without knowing what happened to them. But for me, that’s part of the charm. It’s one of those movies you watch with an open mind, enjoy the action, and not overthink too much.

Overall, Battlefield 2025 is a fun action sci-fi for people who like alien invasion stories and fast-paced fights. It may not be a big cinema film, but it has enough drama, suspense, and explosions to keep you entertained till the end.

After watching it, I was even imagining if something like that happened in my own town here in Nigeria, how will we even fight back? It made me smile at the thought. For me, I will give the movie a solid 7/10. Not perfect, but definitely worth my time.

Good day my people,i believe our day went smoothly seriously lately I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. Life has not been easy, things have been going up and down, and I’ve been asking myself, “What is really holding me back?” After thinking deeply, I realised something hard I need to sacrifice comfort to be able to move forward in life, because great things never come from comfort zone

Yes, **comfort.**

You know that feeling when you’re not doing bad, but you’re also not where you want to be? That’s where I am right now. I’ve been playing it too safe, too comfortable, just moving with the same routine every day wake up, do small hustle, scroll social media, eat, sleep, repeat. No real risk, no real step outside the zone. But the truth is, I won’t grow if I stay like this.

I’ve allowed fear to tie me to a certain lifestyle. I keep telling myself, “at least I have small peace,” but deep down I know I’m stuck in one place. There are dreams I have, plans I’ve written down, skills I want to learn, but they all require me to leave my comfort and take bold steps. That’s the part I’ve been avoiding.

I want to register for an online course, but I keep spending the small money I have on data and food delivery. I want to wake up early to plan my day, but I still sleep late watching movies or chatting. I want to focus more on building myself, but I let distractions waste my time. I want to say “no” to some hangouts and yes to my personal growth, but I’ve not been serious enough.

So, I’ve come to a decision ,I must sacrifice comfort. I need to start being uncomfortable to grow. It won’t be easy oo i know.

This means waking up earlier, reducing unnecessary expenses, saying no to things that don’t add value, and focusing more on discipline. It means choosing long-term gain over short-term pleasure. I need to stop waiting for perfect conditions and start where I am, with what I have.

The funny thing is, the moment I realised this, something shifted inside me. I felt a new kind of strength. I don’t want to look back 5 years from now and still be at the same level. I want more out of life nd that will only come from sacrifice.

In this life, I believe everyone has their own calling. Some people are gifted in certain areas that others cannot handle. One business I truly respect and admire, but I know I may never try, is commercial driving or transport business.

Yes, I mean the keke, okada, or taxi drivers we see every day. Even the ones doing Bolt, Uber, or even interstate driving. I look at them and say, “God, give them more strength,” because this hustle is not easy at all.

In Nigeria, transport business is everywhere. It’s one of the fastest ways people earn daily income. In fact, I know many people that used it to train themselves in school, feed their families, and even build houses. It’s a business that gives results, but it takes real patience, courage, and thick skin.

I remember one uncle in my area who does Bolt. He wakes up by 5 a.m., gets ready, and starts his trips. Sometimes he doesn’t return until late in the night. The way Lagos traffic alone can drain someone’s energy, I wonder how he survives it every day. One time, he even told me how a rider entered his car and didn’t pay. Another time, his car was seized because of a wrong turn. I just shook my head and said, “This life no balance.”

As a lady, I know there are women doing transport too and I respect them even more. One woman in my area drives keke. She doesn’t even fear anything. Rain or sun, she’s on the road. I’ve seen how passengers insult drivers, how LASTMA and police chase them, how some passengers enter and complain about everything. Honestly, it’s not for me.

Apart from the stress, I’m not really the type that likes being outside too long. I prefer working indoors doing design, social media, or digital work. Driving all day and picking random people is something that gives me anxiety just thinking about it.

Even though I may never try it, I can’t lie ooo the transport business is a strong source of income if you’re determined and street smart. People who run it with sense make good money daily. Some even hire others to drive for them and make returns. That one is even better sef.

But me? I’ll just clap for them from the sidelines.

So yes, the business I admire but may never do is transport driving,whether it’s Bolt, danfo, okada, or keke. The hustle is real, the risk is high, and the strength required is not small. If you’re doing this business and you’re consistent, I give you full respect,all hands up for you

I Respect This Hustle, But I Can’t Do It

When I first joined Hive, I was excited but also very confused. I heard that Hive is a place where people write, earn, and connect with amazing communities. But when I logged in, I didn’t even know where to start. Everything looked different from what I was used to.

That’s why I decided to share some honest advice from my own journey. If you’re new to Hive, I hope this helps you avoid some of the mistakes I made.

The first thing, **Take your time to learn the platform** One of my biggest mistakes was rushing. I just wanted to start posting and expecting upvotes. But I didn’t take time to read how Hive works,like about the different communities, resource credits, or Hive keys. I ended up making some posts in the wrong places and got little to no engagement.So if you’re new, please take your time. Explore, read other people’s posts, understand what each community is about. Trust me, it helps.

Another advice is you join communities that match your interestat first, I was just posting randomly But I later found out that Hive has specific communities for almost everything,writing, art, food, tech, lifestyle, and more. When I started posting in the right community (like IndiaUnited, HiveNaija, LeoFinance, etc.), I began to see support.So don’t just post on your blog,post in a community that aligns with your content.

Then also  Engage with others One thing that helped me grow slowly is commenting on other people’s posts. At the beginning, I used to post and log out. But when I started reading and commenting on others' work, I made friends, got replies, and even upvotes in return.Hive is not a place where you post and disappear. You need to engage and connect.

And also **Don’t chase money too early,**Let me be honest,when I joined, I thought I’ll start making big money immediately. But I later realised that Hive is not a get rich quick platform. You grow by being consistent and adding value. The earnings will come with time.
Focus on building your voice, not just your wallet.

Also always **Ask for help when confused**,i appreciate the person who onboard me @neysco, i used to disturb him with questions and he will put me through
There were times I was stuck especially with wallet, posting, or Ecency. 

Lastly, **don’t give up.** na who give up duck up Hive can feel overwhelming in the beginning, but the more you use it, the more you understand it. Be patient with yourself, stay active, and keep learning.

Life can be stressful sometimes. Some days start well and end in confusion, while other days don’t even give you space to smile. But no matter how my day is going, there’s one thing that always lifts my mood and it’s listening to good music alone in my quiet space.

Honestly, I didn’t realize how powerful music was for me until I started facing real adult wahala. There are days when everything just feels too much work pressure, bad news online, disappointments, or just tiredness for no reason. It’s in those moments I reach for my earpiece, play one of my favorite songs, and i just breathe.

It’s not even about dancing (though I do small legwork sometimes 😅, it’s more about how music speaks to me. I can listen to gospel and feel God’s peace. I can listen to soft R&B and feel calm. I can even put on old school Naija jams and remember good memories. Music has a way of changing my mood without me even trying hard.

I usually lie down, close my eyes, and let the song play in my ears. For those few minutes, I forget everything around me. No bills, no hustle, no social media noise just me and the melody. It’s like therapy to me

Sometimes I even sing along , and it makes me feel better. I noticed that anytime I do this, I get new strength to continue the day. It might not solve the problem, but it gives me peace

Apart from music, another simple thing that lifts my mood is hearing from someone I love especially when I’m not expecting it. It could be a short message from a friend, or my mum checking up on me, or someone saying “I’m proud of you.” That thing can reset my whole day.But music is still number one for me. I even have a small playlist titled “Mood Booster” for those bad or boring days. It’s filled with songs that speak to my soul. If you see me smiling randomly sometimes, just know music is doing its work behind the scenes 😂.

In this life where everybody is chasing something, it’s good to know the little things that keep you grounded. For some, it’s food. For others, it’s sleep. For me, it’s music.

So if you ever catch me with earpiece and eyes closed, don’t disturb me ooo I’m refilling my joy tank. Life may be hard, but good music makes it softer.

The One Thing That Lifts My Mood Instantly, Music and Peace of Mind

Joining Hive was something I’ve always wanted to do for long. I’ve been hearing about Hive from friends and seeing contents shared on Twitter and WhatsApp, and I kept wondering what the Hive experience is like. But the truth is, getting on Hive was not easy for me at all.

The day I finally decided to sign up, I was so determined. I tried to register during the day, but it kept telling me that new accounts cannot be created at the moment. I thought maybe it was my network. I tried and tried, still nothing. Then someone told me @neysco to try at midnight, and that’s what I did. I had to wake up around 2am before the signup page finally allow me to register. That was the first stress I faced. And to be honest, ifnot that I was determined, I would have given up that night.

After registering, the next challenge I faced was understanding how everything works here. The platform is not like Instagram or Facebook that everyone is used to. It took me some time to know how to make a post, join communities, and understand how upvotes and Hive tokens work. I was even scared of making my first post because I wasn’t sure if I’m doing it right. There’s no much beginner guide that can show step by step for newbies.

As someone who is into UI/UX design and also digital marketing, I believe Hive can be better and attract more users if the onboarding system is improved. Here are few things I feel can help:

**Make Signup More Friendly:** The signup time should not be limited to only midnights. Not everyone can stay up late. If possible, allow people to create account anytime they want without stress.

**Provide Visual Guide for Newbies:** There should be a clear, simple onboarding tutorial  maybe a short video or slides that explain how Hive works, how to make first post, join community, and even how to earn. This will help reduce confusion for first timers.

**Better UI Layout:** The design of the site can be more user-friendly, especially for mobile users. Important buttons like post, wallet, and explore should be more visible. Things should be made simple and clear.

**Welcome Team or Bot:** A friendly bot or small team that welcomes new users, follows them and send them useful links can help make people feel belong. That will reduce fear and confusion.

In all, I’m happy I finally joined Hive, and I'm learning everyday. But I believe if onboarding becomes easier and user-friendly, more people will join and stay. Now that I’m getting used to Hive, I also want to onboard more people. friends, creatives, and even clients. But I worry that some of them might find the same challenges I faced. That’s why I’m suggesting this. If Hive makes it easier, I can confidently invite more people without fear that they will give up halfway.

In all, I love the Hive community. The people are kind and the platform has value. I just believe with better onboarding, Hive can grow even faster and stronger. Thanks for reading my story.

Sometimes when people hear the word "giving back", they think it has to be something very big or expensive. But the truth is, giving doesn’t always mean money or big gifts. In my own small way, I’ve come to understand that even the little things we do for others can make a big difference.

I’m the kind of person that believes in showing up for people, especially when they don’t expect it. There are days I may not have so much, but I always try to give what I can,maybe time, maybe advice, or just listening to someone when they are going through hard time. I’ve learned that sometimes, people are not looking for money, they just want someone to

One way I give back is by helping people who are just starting in the digital space. Since I’ve been in the creative and tech world for a while now, I use the little experience I have to guide people that are trying to grow in areas like design, content creation or digital marketing. I may not be an expert, but when someone asks me for help, I always try my best to explain or show them resources that helped me too.

Also, I try to encourage young girls especially, to believe in their talents and not give up because they feel tech is only for men. If someone had encouraged me earlier, maybe I would have started some things sooner. So now, I try to be that person I didn’t have back then for someone else.

In my offline life too, I support a few small causes around me. For example, there's a school close to my area where some of the kids don’t have basic school supplies. Once in a while, I donate books, pens, or snacks just something small to help. I don’t always post it online, because I’m not doing it for praise. I just believe that if we all help even one person, the world will be better.

Even on Hive, I try to give back by supporting posts I like, dropping comments to encourage others, and sharing knowledge in areas I understand. Hive itself has taught me that giving back is not always about what you have in your wallet it’s also about what you have in your heart.

At the end of the day, I believe that giving back is a mindset. You don’t need to be rich. You just need to be kind and willing to help someone. Whether it’s sharing a post, teaching someone, donating small things, or even just checking up on a frien it all that  counts.

I hope to do more as I grow, but for now, I’m grateful for the little I can do. Because no act of kindness is ever too small.
