No creator wants to murder their darlings, and @arcange is certainly no exception. But without your vote <u>right now</u>, our most-loved hive tool that includes TOUR, the best onboarding Swiss army knife tool we've got, the whole thing is lost. 

#### What Happened That Put HIVEBUZZ in Harm's Way?
Since Hive Proposals'upset in the first quarter of 2025, many projects lost their funding in the *"market correction"* that was set in motion to fortify our DAO, the Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF). 

Part of the unfortunate fall out from that correction is that the much-loved onboarder-friendly tool, HIVEBUZZ, got hit so hard, it left @arcange holding the bag to meet the expenses.

@arcange, our HIVESPACE featured guest for the March 2025 show, summed up the situation of HiveBuzz. Those on the chain who need and enjoy the tool the most, tend to be new to proposal voting on the platform and their vote is light weight compared to the orcas and whales who may not see HiveBuzz for the user retention tool it is.

TOUR is an elegantly simple tool within HiveBuzz intended not only for those new to Hive but for those of us who don't know what we've missed. Added bonus: TOUR is an in-pocket onboarding outline for those of us out there recruiting for Hive and need an order to follow for teaching new RedFish!

GoBrunch is a no-KYC platform where you get to pick with whom you sit. Shadows designed the room and created special standing mic positions for questions and comments to enhance our discussion with our featured guests.

### What is HiveSpace?
HiveSpace Studio is a **once per month** social audio show and the only event about Hive on the GoBrunch platform. I'm @alessandrawhite, a Hive community leader, as is my hosting partner @shadowspub. Added together, we have eleven years of experience on the chain and we've hosted more than 3000 online events. Our purposed in producing HiveSpace is to make learning about Hive fun, comfortable, relevant and, *understandable*.

### Where Do I Find HiveSpace? 
As you can see from our HiveSpace February live show photo (above), that we gathered a small group of enthusiasts for our first event in our new studio, located in the [HiveSpace Studio](https://gobrunch.com/events/372672/561624) located on the GoBrunch platform.

### Our Featured Guest @starkerz 
@starkerz is a digital nomad and great friend of the Hive Community. An engineer by conventional training, he is an auto-didact polymath futurist. A serial collaborator, his thumb-prints can be seen on Hive projects such as @threespeak, @spknetwork, [Breakaway Communities](https://breakaway.community/), @cttpodcast, [One Bitcoin Club](https://onebitcoinclub.org) and @distriator just to name a few.

We are thrilled to debut the new @shadowspub designed audience-centric studio with it's  seat-based UI and the cinema style "overhead screen" sharing feature.

## What's HiveSpace?
Founded on the X.com Spaces platform January 2022, HiveSpace is one of the first shows about Hive.io in that social audio space, hence the name HiveSpace. 

@shadowspub and @alessandrawhite *(that's me, innit?😉)* are reopening HiveSpace Studio on Tuesday, 25 February at 3pm EST | 8pm UTC on the super-fun  GoBrunch platform that is better aligned to prefs of Hive culture. 

What's unique about our show is that it airs live ***only once a month, generally on the fourth Tuesday.*** We do the pre- and post- production work so that we may bring you a great show that honours our featured guests and your time.  

## HiveSpace x Distriator
In 2023, @hivespaces & #CreativeWorkHr sponsored HiveFest 8, organized by @theycallmedan and @starerz in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico, which is where I got to know these two hard-working Hiveians IRL! 


A year later, at HiveFest 9 in Split, Croatia, @starkerz spoke on stage from the Games of Thrones' Dragon Dungeon about the amazing progress of the Distriator App, designed for spending HBD not in the fantasy world, but IRL. I was hooked! When I returned from the trip, I told Shadows we *had* to bring him on as our first guest when we were ready to reopen HiveSpace.

## What's Distriator?
Distriator isn't another brill app for Hiveans. It is intended for users to spend the value sitting in their Hive accounts IRL at the businesses in their local communities. 

Distriator works by offering a cashback reward to customers who use HBD or Bitcoin Lightning whilst sharing their purchases on social media, which in turn sends a percentage of the purchase back to the customer. Need a rabbit hole?  [Distriator](https://distriator.com) 🕳🐇

At our new GoBrunch HiveSpace Studio, @starkerz can show us how it works, what the Distriator community is doing with it, and how easy it is to onboard businesses.  

## What's GoBrunch? 
The new platform for HiveSpace Studio is [GoBrunch](https://gobrunch.com), a lightweight online platform designed for multi-media interactions. It offers a seat-based UI ideal for workshops and hang-outs.

It's ideal for our show because our guests can take in any open seat in the audience and with @shadowspub's studio design, audience members may take turns at the mic stands placed at either side of the stage stairs (see above, the translucent circles in cherry red).

GoBrunch is aligned to the preferences of many of us on the chair who *loathe* KYC. All you need to do is go to our link, type in your name and pick an avatar. That's it. No downloads required.
