# Hive Dev Challenge 1: Mi primer post1.

¡Hola a todos! Creo que no hay mejor excusa para comenzar a interactuar con esta comunidad que con un reto para ir calentando motores en cuanto al desarrollo blockchain se refiere; y agredezco a los muchachos del Hive Building Day por introducirme a este mundo de la Web3 que me parece sumamente interesante.

En los Building Days hemos trabajado principalmente con Javascript + React, pero hoy me atreví a experimentar un poco con Python, puesto a que ya he venido aprendiendo a programar con este lenguaje desde hace algunos años y actualmente le daremos bastante uso en mi universidad. Asñi que con un poco de Daft Punk me puse manos a la obra:

## El Reto:

Lo primero que hice, por supuesto, fue crear el entorno de desarrollo donde ejecutaría mi script. Posteriormente instalé las dependencias de [Hive Nectar](https://hive-nectar.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html). 


Una vez instaladas las librerías recomendadas (en este caso `python-dev-is-python3` porque `python-dev` me la señala como obsoleta), procedí a instalar Nectar propiamente dicho.

Finalmente, con todo preparado, ya era solo cuestión de construir el script. Comencé primero definiendo la lógica simple de mi script:

Después consultándo con la [documentación](https://hive-nectar.readthedocs.io/en/latest/nectar.blockchaininstance.html) logré definir la función que se encargaría de llevar mi frase a la blockchain, no sin antes defninir mis datos de usuario y mi posting key en un archivo .env:

Luego de hacer unas cuantas pruebas, obtener algunos errores (sobretodo manipulando el arreglo de la transacción) logré cumplir el reto con un fragmento de las Meditaciones de Marco Aurelio, el cual considero que expresa una verdad importante sobre nuestras vidas.

Así es como termina mi expericiencia en este desafío, con ganas de más adelante incorporar alguna interfaz gráfica y seguir explorando hive y sus potencialidades. Proximamente haré mi post de introducción, solo quería aprovechar la oportunidad de participar en el reto, así que se los debo. ¡Muchísimas gracias por la invitación!

Por cierto, para quien se lo pregunte, utilicé Geany como editor, más que nada por curiosidad de probar herramientas alternativas de software libre, y para este tipo de proyectos sencillos creo que funciona bastante bien.

Hive Dev Challenge 1: Mi primer post


Hello everyone, this is officially my first time publishing anything related to development, and I apologize in advance for the brevity and simplicity of what you are about to see. However, I am just taking my first steps in the world of coding, with more stumbles than successes, I think.

My field is philosophy, so the world of development is completely foreign to me, but I have nothing to lose by jumping from the text of philosophy books to the text of programming language; in the end, nothing comes out of the text. I must confess that after conducting educational workshops on Hive-focused development ([“BuildingDay”](https://peakd.com/hive-162114/@hivetalkproject/trljygan)) for university students in the field of science and technology here in Barquisimeto, I have become curious about development, and here I am, taking my first steps. 

Congratulations! I think this challenge [HiveDevChallenge1](https://peakd.com/hivedevchallenge/@hiveblocks-es/hive-dev-challenge-1-unete-al-desafio) is the perfect excuse to practice. 

So, I will try to explain a little bit about what I did while sharing some screenshots with you. I must confess that I took a little inspiration from one of the first exercises that was done during Building Day, and I only changed a couple of details to adapt it to this exercise.

The first thing I did was open a folder for this project from the terminal, and then install the necessary libraries:

- dotenv
- @hiveio/dhive

And, of course, create the corresponding files...

So I wrote the lines of code, guided line by line by the assistance exercise that the guys had done in the Building Hive sessions. I must confess that there are still some things I don't quite understand. That's why I didn't want to use Vibes Coding, let alone venture into an app, although I'm already working on one as a learning exercise.

And as you can see, I decided to create an environment variable to run the code from the terminal. For obvious reasons, I am not showing my posting key.

As you can see, I can't leave philosophy out of almost everything I do, so instead of writing HelloWorld, I decided to leave one of my favorite quotes from Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra on the blockchain.

Hola a todos, oficialmente esta es mi primera vez publicando algo que tiene que ver con el desarrollo y de antemano pido disculpas por lo escueto y simple de lo que verás a continuación. Pero, apenas estoy dando mis primeros pasos en el mundo del coding, creo que con más tropiezos que aciertos. 

Lo mio es la filosofía, por lo que el mundo del desarrollo me es completamente extraño, pero, nada pierdo con saltar del texto de los libros de filosofía al texto del lenguaje de programación, al final, nada sale del texto. Debo confesar que tras haber realizado jornadas educativas sobre desarrollo enfocado en Hive ([“BuildingDay”](https://peakd.com/hive-162114/@hivetalkproject/trljygan)) a estudiantes universitarios en el área de ciencias y tecnología acá en Barquisimeto ha nacido la curiosidad por el desarrollo y heme aquí, dando mis primeros pasos. 

¡Enhorabuena! Este reto [HiveDevChallenge1](https://peakd.com/hivedevchallenge/@hiveblocks-es/hive-dev-challenge-1-unete-al-desafio) creo que es la excusa perfecta para practicar. 

Así que intentaré explicar un poco lo que hice mientras les comparto unas capturas de pantalla, debo confesar que me fije un poco en uno de los primeros ejercicios que se realizó en las jornadas del Building Day, y cambié únicamente un par de detalles para adaptarlo a este ejercicio.

Lo primero que hice fue abrir una carpeta desde la terminal para este proyecto, y seguidamente instalar las librerías necesarias: 

- dotenv 
- @hiveio/dhive 

Y por supuesto crear los archivos correspondientes...

Así que fui escribiendo las lineas del código guiándome linea a linea con el ejercicio de asistencia que habían hecho los chicos en las sesiones de Building Hive, debo confesar que aun hay algunas cosas que no entiendo muy bien. Por lo que no quise usar Vibes Coding, ni mucho menos aventurarme con una App, aunque ya me encuentro trabajando en una como ejercicio de aprendizaje.

Y como pueden verlo, decidí crear una variable de entorno para ejecutar el código desde la terminal. Por obvias razones, no muestro mi llave posting.

Y después de ir muy lentamente a pesar de ser muy pocas lineas de código, lo ejecute exitosamente. Pueden ver la transacción en el siguiente enlace en el explorador de bloques.

Como lo han podido ver, no puedo dejar la filosofía por fuera en casi cada cosa que hago, por lo que en vez de escribir HolaMundo, decidí dejar en la blockhain una de mis frases favoritas del texto "Así habló Zaratustra de Nietzsche"

In the life of a programmer/developer, we always enjoy solving puzzles and challenges. 

We always like to stay in shape and keep our programming skills sharp. 

In this first challenge, although simple, there is always something to learn and apply.
